  1. Poking around Craigslist and ran across this.. I'd never seen such a thing. Pretty cool I thought. Handicap SS
  2. Got this in an email today... Amazing... Eric Bolling (Fox Business Channel's Follow the Money) test drove the Chevy Volt at the invitation of General Motors. For four days in a row, the fully charged battery lasted only 25 miles before the Volt switched to the reserve gasoline engine. Eric calculated the car got 30 mpg including the 25 miles it ran on the battery. So, the range including the 9 gallon gas tank and the 16 kwh battery is approximately 270 miles. It will take you 4 1/2 hours to drive 270 miles at 60 mph. Then add 10 hours to charge the battery and you have a total trip time of 14.5 hours. In a typical 270 mile road trip your average speed (including charging time) would be 20 mph. According to General Motors, the Volt battery holds 16 kwh of electricity. It takes a full 10 hours to charge a drained battery. The cost for the electricity to charge the Volt is never mentioned so the following electricity cost was calculated. Approximately (it varies with amount used and the seasons) $1.16 per kwh. 16 kwh x $1.16 per kwh = $18.56 to charge the battery. $18.56 per charge divided by 25 miles = $0.74 per mile to operate the Volt using the battery. Compare this to a similar size car with a gasoline engine only that gets 32 mpg. $3.19 per gallon divided by 32 mpg = $0.10 per mile. The gasoline powered car cost about $15,000 while the Volt costs $46,000. So they wants us to pay 3 times as much for a car that costs more that 7 time as much to run and takes 3 times as long to drive across country.
  3. I hadn't ever spoken with Paulguy but regardless I hate to see something such as this happen especially to one of such a young age. Your "How To's" shall live on. RIP Bro...

  8. Crap I wish I was close enough for a local pick up :/
  9. By unplug he means the battery. It will reset you pcm to relearn so It's possible that it might correct it. I've had mine do the same but I simply just pulled over and shut the truck off and waited a moment then when I started it back up it was working fine.
  10. Greyhound is the cheapest. You just bubble wrap them and take them to a Greyhound stop. When a Bus stops in heading the direction the wheels will they'll load them up and they'll go to the closest Greyhound stop near your destination. Not sure how you set it up but I've read many ppl using that method and it's pretty cheap. Call Greyhound most likely to find out more.
  11. If someone confuses that with yours they need to have their eyes checked. - White Stripes vs Black Stripes - Giant SS on windshield vs none. - Stickers all over the place vs none.
  12. Looking good. It's always nice to shrink that wheel gap. I remember doing that drop with spindles as well but had to go lower. Heh Heh. to another Nice RED SSS
  13. I'm posting this for a friend at work that has a 2003 2500 Silverado. He told me the other day while driving home his A/C was doing fine then all of a sudden no air was blowing from the upper vents (Both Sides). So he fiddled with the controls and finally after turning off the Recycle Button the air began to blow once again. Shortly after (Say 5 mins) He pressed in the Recycle button and I don't know how quick this happened be he lost air flow through the upper vents again. He ended up just leaving it off and it worked fine for the rest of his ride home. I don't know what control's he had but I do believe it's the "Slider" type. He also claimed that he could hear the blower still running, just no air flow. Any idea's that I could forward to him?
  14. Looking sweet. I wish I could do a 6 hour detail. Mine always go longer but beer is involved as well. *Laughs* Nice job

  17. Well I feel like a DUMB AZZ. I was putting the stocker back on today and noticed the rear drivers tire is a 275x60.20" not a 275x55x20" like the other 3 UGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Yup it's about 1" taller tire :/ When I bought the truck it had new Michelin LTX M/S but at stock height I never noticed. One would think when the previous owner purchased the tires as a set the tire place would give him the same size. I know that the previous owner purchased them because I called him before I purchased the truck from the dealer LOL So now I face the question, Do I spend the $250+ to get the matching sized tire or just not worry about it. (lots of life left on these tires). *Shaking My Head*
  18. Just get some 6000K HID's You'll be bright all over town as well as back roads. You'll love um.
  19. I've ran across this same problem. Weird thing is when I measured from ground to the wheel well I got the same measurement. Then when measuring from the center of the wheel to the wheel well I had close to ¾" less on the drivers side. I'd have a 2 finger gap between tire & well on the passenger side but less then 1 finger gap on the drivers side. Now the funny thing is when I put my summer wheels on. all my measurements are the same as well as the finger gap. *Scratches head* I'm blaming the drivers side tire probably being taller even though the tires were all purchased at the same time. NORCAL SS do you have a secret to raise one side up ½" to ¾"? I was thinking maybe a block under the leaf or air shocks ran on a single line. But I don't know which shock I'd have to purchase due to the drop. hmmmm I haven't actually measured the tires to see if that's the problem I have yet but that will be where I start.
  20. Sold to SS Muscle Truck, exchanged at the Nats. Was nice meeting you & DEISS.
  21. I'd rather deliver then ship. I'm sure the cost would up the price quite a bit. :/ But if deliver to Nat's don't work out I'll consider it.
