  1. thanks for all the kind words and support, if only my wife was as understanding(if it weren't for my son, i'd divorce her ass ). Well, it's official, she's gone. the insurance has a buyback, but I owe too much. I would have to pay 5k to pay down the loan enough to make it work, so, my saving begins for the next one. I guess the bright spot in all of this is that I am out from under a payment, a big one, so i can get my wifes truck paid for, and get debt free, that'll make the next one easier. I'll be around, missing her everyday. besides, tx-ss still owes me money..lol
  2. what do you mean we don't get along?? I don't remember issues with you or anything. just wondering. Thanks for all the support guys, just a little update, the final estimate from the body shop was 11K, 3 of that was for the front bumper assembly. I told them I can get it way cheaper than that, but if it works out, I might be getting my truck back, just have to have all the stars align right I can post the estimate and see what you guys think if you want
  3. I had insurance, the body shop where she was at(which is the best one in Indy fwiw) was at 12K damage and climbing. Unfortunately, the funds just aren't there to buy her back, so away she goes. I'm gonna try like hell to get her back, but it was bad. I'll have pics in the next few days, thank god for gap insurace though, but i'm really down
  4. so i never thought I'd be writting this thread, but after confirmation from the body shop, my beloved ss is gone. In a single second of un-attentiveness by me, my truck is gone. To give a little background, i went to a lunch friday for my brother-in-law who was getting married that evening, and as I was leaving the parking lot, i looked down for a split second and hit the concrete support pole exiting a parking garage I was initially stunned at what had happened, but after a few seconds, i realized what had happened. omg, i thought, as the dust from the air bag settled, and I heard the hissing from the radiator, i had ruined the second most important thing next to my son, my truck. I really don't need anyone telling me what a dumbass I am for hitting a concrete pole, but thought i'd fill you guys in. It really feels like a relative died, I feel horrible! I put my heart and soul into this truck, it was who i was, and to see it sitting lifeless in the body shop, I almost cried, the good thing is that they all understood how I felt, the wife doesn't, but they do. I hit the middle of the bowtie right in the middle of the piller. completly smashing the front end, trashing the core support, fenders, rad, tranny cooler, etc, etc. So I hope I am still welcome around here, as I really feel a part of something, as the truck was more than rubber and steel to me. Unfortunately, it will be a while before i get another one due to financial difficulties, but i will have another one!! thanks for listening to my thread, I really have no one who would understand like you guys would. Thank You.
  5. I don't know, maybe it's time for a new government system. I think the problem is there are so many different idealistic factions of people that beleive in their own set of values and beleifs, that it would be hard to name "one group" to run the country. Maybe instead of 1 person making the decisions for us, that we have a panel or committee of decision makers, made up from the different groups of people. I think we need to do away from the house and senate, and outlaw ALL lobbiysts!! Actually, I think that's where a large part of our problem stems from is all these special interest groups, whinig and dining these politicians in hopes of getting them to vote for THEIR cause, while the voters have no say so whatsoever. There was an article in th eINdy star last week that told of how much lobbyists paid on the state govt officials, the majority of the money spent was by energy companies, the alcohol industry, and gambling industries, it was sicking how much was spent jerking these politicans off to vote a certain way. def need a change!
  6. http://www.brewracingframes.com/id75.htm pretty scary stuff, just thought i'd pass it on
  7. we need to have a revolution in this country! we, the people, need to take OUR country back, new government, new leaders, pull our troops out of places we shouldn't be in, and shore up america, f-the rest of the world. All the great powers througout history have fallen at some point, are we waiting to be the next?? the way it's headed, yes. things will never change unless people stand up and say **** it, i've had enough!!

  17. Thanks. Did that solve her problem I assume?
  18. hey you asked, no need to post shit like that newb,
  19. I know it's not SS related, but there are some smart peeps on here, so I thought I'd pick ur brains. here goes: my wife's truck is an 04 tb 4x4 lt, etc, etc I've noticed that the gas mileage and acceleration has been shit lately, so I had the codes ran and here is what they came up as: 1. P0442 Evap system issue possible causes, bad gas cap, evap canister or hose bad, purge or vent solenoid bad, or vaccum leak at engine 2.P0410 Secondary Air Injection System Fault possible causes, circuit open or blown fuse, connnector loose, or air pump defective And lastly, best the best one Code P0606 ECM Internal error possible causes, bad ecm Now having said that, I can get the other codes, and therefore the shitty gas mileage, but if an ecm is bad, won't that cause the truck to go into safety mode and limit power? Doesn't it give you just enough to limp home? And the other codes are california emmisions related also, so that shouldn't affect anything by them being on, correct? If anyone can chime in as to these problems, mainly the ecm problem, It would be greatly appreciated.
  20. i know these have the cathedral ports, it was bought new from gmpp and it is the tbss intakes, which I beleive are the ls2 motors. I'll check into the heads, maybe someone on here can shed some more light. All i know is that it will fit a stock lq9 with a 90mm throttle body and add horses.
  21. what a nasty bee-otch!
