  1. I would assume it has the potential to prematurely wear the clutches and bands within the transmission as the servo is the part that applies the appropriate pressure to the bands during shifting. A bad servo would cause irregular shift patterns. Leaking servo would cause the clutches and bands to slip more because of the loss in pressure used to engage the servo. Destroying the transmission probably not but it could cause you to overhaul the clutches and bands in essence taking the tranny completely out...
  2. I run 2 Magnaflow XL and the truck sounds great... Nice and comfortable at cruising and mean sounding like a Nascar when stepping on it... Its worth checking them out. https://www.magnaflow.com/automotive-performance/mufflers/xl-muffler/
  3. That is where I have my new gallon cooler tank at. Just wondering how and if anyone is running the stock quart tank and new cooler tank in series and how they did it.
  4. As we all know the Magnusen superchargers come with a quart size coolant tank with a pump attached to the bottom... I was wondering if anyone could tell me the best way to hook up and add the gallon trick flow coolant tank to the existing setup with the current 1 quart reservoir and pump still functioning thus adding more volume of coolant... I already have the extra reservoir mounted and located on the back passenger side under the bracket. 1.) Do I want to have the coolant to flow from the 1 quart reservoir and pump to the intercooler then flow to the gallon reservoir and then to the radix manifold and back into the 1 quart reservoir completing the circuit? 2.) Or do I want to have the coolant flow from the 1 quart reservoir and pump to the intercooler then flow through the radix manifold and out into the gallon trick flow reservoir and back to the 1 quart reservoir also completing the circuit? I would like to keep the 1 quart reservoir if all possible because every little bit extra coolant helps with these heat soaking monsters... I am leaning towards option 2 as then both reservoir tanks are in the same line as far as coolant flow as long as I make sure the gallon reservoir is full past the inlet and outlet (Top and Bottom) nipples ...
  5. I use a phoenix transmission 3000 TQC.http://www.phoenixtrans.com/torque-converters/ Performs awesome and zero complaints so far and stalls around 3100-3200 with the cam and supercharger setup I have... For just a cam setup up and other bolt ons, some marine injectors or 8.1L 42lbers would be more than enough and bolt right in. Or you can go with siemen deka and use 1/4" spacers on your fuel rails. I went that route and used 60lb siemen deka and made my own spacers. And springs just used the recommended beehive ones that comp has and their pushrods. You wont be disappointed. I have had that same cam setup for 8+ years and by no means do I baby her when I drive. I may not put on many miles but those miles are fun.
  6. I run this cam and it is an awesome daily driver cam with a nice mean lope and great for naturally aspirated and works well if you decide to go forced induction. I have had nothing but compliments and it performs very well... http://www.sho-mespeed.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=product&task=show&cid=6566&name=comp-cams-ls1-ls6-ls2-xr275hr-222-224-lift-566-568-lsa-112&gclid=CKP9iYOS1MwCFYY2gQodnhQM7g The only thing Id recommend is some different valve springs as the stock ones are bit weak for a bigger cam. Id also get some hardened pushrods while you are in there.
  7. That is so sad to hear.,. I thought a few of you guys in the cities were going to make it... I will try to keep yall posted whenever I make the 3.5 hour trek to Minneapolis or surrounding cities and if you want to meet that's cool... But I too would be pissed like Fast4Popper is if I had to make a 3-4 hour drive and see no one... I would like to make it to Brainard this year as well since I missed the last Wednesday night drag last September due to surgery... I'll let everyone know when I am going and if I see you there I'll see ya... Either way Ill still have fun smashing all the other cars in the 1/4...
  8. I have been running it that way for a couple years no problems... Runs good and throttle response is better than ever with the 90mm...
  9. This is the link you remember as you did post in it lol http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/19852-90mm-radix-alterations/
  10. Another option you might want to think about is the 90mm upgrade... You can take your stock J-tube and hole saw it out so that it will accommodate a 90mm throttle body... The stock J-tube on a mp112 necks down from the inside of the tube up to the current 78mm TB... It is almost asking to be bored out.... LOL... This is what I did with mine and as long as you are half way competent you should be able to pull it off with ease... There is a write up on here or pt.net on how to do this... Well worth the MOD without buying more parts and there is a big difference going from 78mm to 90mm... Happy Modding
  11. Pull the fuel pump fuse when you leave the vehicle for a extended period of time. It would be a pain in the butt to do it every time you went somewhere but atleast you wont have to worry about it being stolen... Or you can just get it supercharged and cammed and then when they try to steal it with a different PCM it wont start or run well enough for them to drive it unless they know what it has done to it and has it programmed in the pcm they are using...
  12. I believe pacesetter has a newer header that are 1 7/8 for a good price... Many guys have run the 1 3/4 and like them as long as you get the coated ones...
  13. Check out the Kumho Ecsta STX. I love them and have had the same pair of shoes on for about 25-30k miles and 8 years and they still have good tread left... They ran well in the rain when it was my DD in North Carolina and the dry traction is awesome. Not sure on the snow as I have never driven in it since I moved back to MN in 2007... The only problem I have now is they are starting to weather check a little from sitting so much, but 8 years is plenty good I think... Plus they are very reasonable price wise...
  14. Dude!!! Can I get a job working for you or with you? I need the money you got... LOL Nice truck!
  15. That is an awesome run Randy! I have been so busy lately I haven't been able to get to the track yet. I have to wait until the track opens in a few months. Plus I haven't compounded my nitrous to my radix yet... I hope I have some success with a 75-100 shot and boost... Again nice run and I am happy to see a stock bottom hold together because I don't plan on rebuilding mine until I have too LOL
  16. 2003 SSS, 56,XXX miles, Hours unknown at this time Truck is in storage so I cant tell exact numbers.
  17. Its a sad time in MN... I don't see many SSS running around heck I only drive mine a half dozen times a year I was actually ready and going to brainard for the last Wed night drag in sept but then I cut my hand really bad and had to have surgery that day instead lol
  18. ah you can make it... If you want to spend the night at my place you can but it is 1.5-2hours north of Brainard... Lets go Minnesota/Wisconsin boys and girls, last drag of the year....
  19. Unless its my truck LOL... I have never driven my truck in the winter and has never seen salt or snow and I never drive it in inclement weather haha... Still looks brand new no rust anywhere...
  20. PS4 FTW!!!! The only game I play these days is Warthunder only on PS4 and PC... IMO the best WW2 combat tank/flight simulator ever made and its free for PC and PS4 and is a cross platform game where PC and console players play together... Plus they are always upgrading the game and improving the graphics so it is always on top with the latest and greatest graphics...If you have never played it you are missing out... The only other games I am waiting for is the new Rainbow Six and Star Wars Battlefront made by DIce for the first time so the enviroments will be destructible and large maps... Kill get some cya on the game... My gamer tag is USMC_SRT I have been a gamer for a long time from ATARI, Nintendo, Sega, Sega Dreamcast, Super Nintendo, PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4... PS4 is arguably the better console for gaming but the Xbox one with the outdated GDDR3 Ram is still impressive but doesn't have the potential the GDDR5... But Xbox fanboys will always say there console is better haha... I have had them all and the 360 was a better system than the ps3 but the PS4 has far more potential as a gaming system... Home console and gimmicks the Xbox one is hands down better...
  21. A little last minute notice but who wants to go and meet up at BIR for the last Wednesday night drag in Minnesota... I am going for sure due to the weather being sunny and clear... It should be a blast especially if we get some members to go... I have yet to still meet a fellow SSS member so it would be fun... I am hoping for 12's since it will be a little warm in the 80's but none the less, very fun as long as I don't break anything LOL... Anyone interested in going shoot me a PM and we can exchange phone numbers and get in touch on race day.... See you all there...
