Well it was a short winter... Its been 50's and 60's here and it rained once already... Time to get the SSS out of storage ... I am back gents!!!
-
Its a bad video but it still sounds sweet... Supercharger+AWD burnout= Nirvana https://www.facebook.com/james.forbord?ref=tn_tnmn#!/photo.php?v=764007193630800&set=vb.100000645801109&type=2&theater

Got my truck out last Saturday and got a new tweaked tune from Wheatley... Lets just say I love AWD burnouts from a dig!!! Little squirly when the front end lets loose, but puts a huge smile on my face especially when i look back and see some rubber stuck to the road LOL...
-
Yea!!! It hit 60' degrees today for the first time in 6 months... a week of 40's and 50's took almost all of our snow away and almost time to get the SSS out again... I am so excited

Not sure if its worht opening a thread but does anyone know if I can use AV Gas for fuel in my SAFE tank for my nitrous kit
-
I know it's hot. I usedit before in my 96 and it loved it but I'm pretty sure it's leaded. We ran it in our Airboats down here. I'd use a race fuel personally.
-
I would love to use race fuel but I have no access to it in my area... I may just buy a 6 gallon jug when I fill up my NO2 tank... The closets NO2 and race fuel is 1.5-2hrs away
-
do you guys have any ATV shops around you or motorsports shops? most of them should be able to get you VP fuel all of are shops around here can have it instock in 5 gallon pales. or they can order it in for you.

To all you great fabricators out there... I never drive my truck in the rain or at night and was wondering if anyone has ever invented a ram air vent that would completely replace and lock in the factory passenger headlight... Something stylish instead of an empty hole...
-
If all else fails I bet I can figure something out with a junkyard headlight and some vents from my old motorcycle radiator cover hmmmm
-
Personally, I prefer an empty hole!

I seen a eclipse awhile back that had projector headers, with a hole in it for the intake. It was smoothed out, so I know it wasn't a hack job. I googled it, and it appears to be a common mod. Its nothing a little fiberglass and the orig. headlights couldn't mock up.

Crank pin Question? Ok I have never pinned my crank and balancer even with a maggie and all my power adders... The reason is 6 years ago when finished my Cam shaft upgrade I tightened the bolt down but not good enough and found it hand loose one day inspecting it, which scared the crap out of me, I wasn't aware of the pinning technique back then so I used the same bolt and red locktight and cranked her down as much as I could within the foot pound specs... I guess what I am asking, is the...

Yep... I have done just about every big power adder I can think of to this 6L... So once it pops I'll be finding me a 454
-
Maybe a 2300 ?
-
If I had the cash i would go 2300 right away plus it would swap right over to a bigger LSX build... Its in the future
-
Should I or shouldn't I that is the question???

Buy it
-
Buy it! You've been wanting one and nows your chance. Itd suck to watch it sell to a complete stranger when you could keep it in the family. Lol.
-
I talked to him and told him he will not sell it to anyone else but me when he is ready to sell it LOL... I love those new breed WS6's... His is technically the last of the breed LOL...Black with stock rims... I think they are sexy, especially in the commercial when they first came out in 98-99... What do you guys think of this car? I have only ridden in it but its really quick
-
Winter just peaked its head around this past weekend.. Got about 1-3 inches of snow and temps steady in the 30's for highs... I never got the SSS out for its final ride of the year:( Time to run some seafoam in the gas tank and pull the battery and let her sit where she is at in my enclosed carport... UNTIL NEXT YEAR GENTS...

I don't know how you guys can live without driving the ss for that long

It is so so painful looking at her sleeping as well as my motorcycle, but at least the truck will still look ageless 20 years down the road rather than rusty due to salt and sand from our winter roads... I'd rather shed a tear in the winter than shed a tear because of a rust spot plus its my toy truck now and I want it to last forever... I have snowmobiles and ice fishing to get me through the winter at least...
-
True we don't have sand on the roads here so I see your point

Time for some new brakes and rotors I think... Everytime I try comming to a stop a bit faster than normal driving the ole' girl starts shaking a little...
