Hey guys, if you have electric fans did you need to buy a new serpentine belt? I'm looking at installing Flex-a-lite model#294 fans on my 04 SSS, just wondering what other parts, if any, I need to buy along with the fans in order to install them... Any feed back is greatly appreciated!

did it require any modifying of the hardware? There is a member on this site who sells a kit that includes brackets and connectors, should i pick that up too? or is it all included in the tru-cool max kit?

Hey guys, so I'm looking at upgrading my transmission cooler from the stock one to a better performance one. Just dont know which brand or model to choose from. I have an 04 SSS AWD, any suggestions? What do you have in yours? Would you recommend it to others? Let me know, any input is appreciated!

Hey guys, I need a link or just input in general as to "how to install a new 180 deg thermostat to replace my stock one. Also on how to properly flush my radiator so that there is no air pockets left in it. I have a fluid extractor which i typically use to change my oil, so I can use that...?

Hey guys, I just started modifying my 04 SSS and am stuck needing advice on what to do next. Ive installed a Voolant cold air intake system, Pacesetter Longtube headers, deleted my Cat's, installed a Borla XR-1 muffler, and installed 3.5" exhaust piping throughout. Other than those upgrades and a Baer decelarotor upgrade I'm stuck on what to do next. I was thinking in going with a Wheatley Street tune since I'm in Texas, but other than that what do you recommend I do to get my truck up to speed? I was told a Wide band was also a good Idea but I dont know what that is or what it does...? only thing I think I know about the wide band is that it gets installed in the 3rd connection on my exhaust, in the port similar to my (2) O2 sensors. Any suggestions????

Hey guys, just started modifying my SSS even though I've owned it for over 3 years... I recently had the transmission replaced under warranty with a brand new OEM GM trans. But now that im adding things to it (performance wise) Ive heard that i should start saving to get a built transmission and a good stall... I'm not familiar with what a stall is or why I need a built trans even though I just got a new one guaranteed for another 100,000 miles...? Can someone give me the 411 on what the deal is?

Hey guys, I just installed Pacesetter long tube headers, deleted my cats, a Borla XR-1 muffler, and 3.5" exhaust piping. Since I deleted my Cats, I now only have 2 oxygen sensors instead of 4. There is a extra hook up for a wide band, but im unfamiliar with what that is...? Or if thats even what its for...? Can someone help me out and point me in the right direction?

Cool, I was born and raised on the Southeastern side of H-town. Left it to join the Marines back in 2002 and have only gone back to visit and not moved back since. What part do you live in?

Yo whats up everyone? So I joined the website a while back but never fully signed in or created my profile... I bought my 04 SSS back in December 2007, its the Arrival blue color and it came with 47,000 miles. I bought it from CarMax after my last non-SS silverado was totalled. My SSS was actually the truck I wanted back when I bought the previous one. But enough of that, I had the engine and drivetrain bone stock until this past weekend when a fellow SSS owner sold me his entire exhaust setup and his cold air intake! Man I just found out how SSS owners takecare of eachother! Which was what prompted me to finish my account creation on this website. I'm looking foward to getting help and helping out fellow SSS members and owners! As for what Ive done to my truck here it goes: BAER big break upgrade all around, Pacesetter Longtube headers, Borla XR-1 muffler, 3.5" custom exhaust piping, Voolant Cold Air intake, MSD 8.5mm Plug wires, 10000K HID light kit, Kenwood double-din touch screen navigation stereo, (2) 12" JL audio subs with 500 watt JL amp, ARE tonneau cover and Rhino liner (Paint matched). The next thing on my to do list is a Performance tune. But there's so many to choose from that I need guidence or a recommendation...? I travel to Houston, Austin and San Antonio quite a bit so if there are tuners ya'll recommend that are in those cities please let me know... I'll be posting pictures up of my SSS shortly.
