  2. Well, to be honest this is my first modified vehicle and I am learning as i go, when I had the headers installed, my knowledge was limited.
  3. I already had a tune, I had some mods done to the truck and had it re-tuned.
  4. About four months ago I had a shop by the name of G-Force install headers for me. About a week after the installation I notice my motor was not running normal. My idle was rough and I had an occassional mis-fire. I called G-Force because my check engine light flipped, G-Force assured me the installation of the headers had nothing to do with it and the check engine light was on b/c of our cat-less system. So I believe him, ignorantly enough. Well, I went to G-Force to have my tuck tuned and found out that the passenger side, #1 sensor was unplugged (from when the headers were installed 3 months earlier) and the engine was dumping 30% more fuel than neccessary. G-Force apologized for leaving the sensor unplugged but they assured me that an uplugged oxygen sensor could not cause motor damage. After the oxygen sensor was hooked up, the motor was running fine but with lack of power. Here recently I had a leakdown test done on the SS and 2 pistons on the right side of the engine (4,6) are having 65% leakdown while all other pistons held about 25% we also measured the temperature at the headers and 4,6 piston were about 80 degrees cooler than the rest . My question is could an unplugged oxygen sensor cause damage on a relatively new, high performance motor? Motor Stats: Motor is @ 15k Miles 6.0L Bore .20 Long tube headers Cam 224-.556 LS1 Aluminum Heads Brand new pushrods & valve springs
  5. No, you are absolutely correct. We drove up there to have G-Force look at it and Mike would not even take a moment to inspect the truck, but informed us the code was there b/c our lack of cats.
  6. G- Force is located in Pearland, Texas. G-Force was bought over by a rich elderly man as a gift for his son Mike. Mike now is the main guy you will deal with. All employees are decently trained but very cocky. I took my SSSilvey to G-Force to have headers installed. A week later a knocking noise evolved from the engine. I continuously called G-Force informing them of my issue and they denied the headers had anything to do with it. Well, three months later I found out the #1 Oxygen sensor was unplugged. G-Force forgot to plug in the Oxygen sensor when thay installed the headers, three months earlier. Well, I took my truck there to have it tuned and they told me the right side of my engine was running 30% too lean, due to the oxygen sensor (which they left unplugged) well, to admit their guilt they gave us a discount on the tune telling us " well, we don't want you thinking we do bad work." Well, come to find out recently I had a compression test done on the truck and two cylinders on the right side of my engine are shot. G- Force continuously denies them leaving the oxygen sensor unplugged for three months had anything to do with my motor damage and they are so confident it was not them they told us if we find out it was the OS they would pay for my motor damage in full but, when I asked him to put that on paper, he refused. I am taking them to court here shortly. WARNING: G-Force and all the employees are amateurs and talk mad mess. I would not recommend anyone this shop- STEER CLEAR!!! P.S. This is my boyfriends first modified vehicle and he has corrected these boneheads on numerous things.
