  1. Agreed. My last one was at 135k when I traded it in and it still ran like a new truck. The one I have now is setting at 97k and I wouldn't be surprised if it lasted at least another 100k before needing any significant work done to it. I agree with your wife too. I'd say tough it out for a while (I'm using that term lightly since you already have a nice truck), and wait until after you're settled in to the new place before reevaluating whether you want to upgrade the truck you have, or get something newer.

To answer the original question though, to me, it isn't "too high" until the cost of keeping the truck on the road outweighs the reliability and fun of having the vehicle. I've seen a couple of these trucks with over 500k and still running fine, so your mileage isn't even close to what they are proven to be capable of doing by others. It's all subjective though, so high miles to one person may mean they're pushing 30k, while someone else doesn't blink an eye over 150k.

  2. considering the year and mileage. and your also saying it needs paint a fender. i would say reasonably you would be getting in the single digits.

from a buyers stand point right out of the hole your looking ~2-3K minimum probably more for paint plus whatever other body work it needs. thats before the buyer even gets into basic maint. for me to buy a car in that condition the deal must be sweet.

so book value is what 10-11? you would be in the 6-8 range at most for most buyers. not bashing your truck just talking real world numbers. KBB / NADA are for dreamers and dealers.

Agreed. I was going to say around $10k for the same reason.

  3. Who the hell puts a pappy capper on an SSS?

Lmao. Mine had a "pappy capper" on it when I got it too. The old man who had it before put on the cap and matching cap and bed carpet so his dogs would have a comfortable ride to the lake.
  4. Yeah, I wasn't sure it doesn't look painted as it looks glossy. I had a bowtie like this on my S10 Xtreme I had back in the day. I got the one from an earlier SS S10. Maybe I will have to get a black billet one and paint the outside red and clear over the whole thing. Hmmm....

I had one on my old S10 Xtreme too. That thing was a monster with the 2.2L lol.
