  1. It didnt sound like bolts being sheared off. I would have heard shit bouncing around. It was a just a quick snap sound. Like if you were to take a Ziptie and break it. That was it. No vibration which I would have had. It starts fine, no noises or vibration minus the motor from the cam. Im almost thinking the input shaft snapped in half. But have no idea what that would sound like. I just read that if the input or output shaft breaks you will not have park, so its most likely a converter, or Pump is what I have read. A guy had the same issue and he replaced is converter and it fixed the issue. Anyone else agree with this?
  2. The truck was fine all day today, that is until i put full load on it and made a pass from 30 to 120. Got up to 120 and shifted into the last gear and I head a snap, Not loud, no grinding, or any other noise. Then the truck just revved up in every gear but park still works. Ive run the truck multiple times and it never skipped a beat until today. I checked trans fluid and its full and clean, not burnt. No leaks. The truck has a 4L80E conversion with a converter and a full motor build. I checked the shifter cable and it was still connected but was binding on the trans pan, so I fixed that and there is now clearance between the pan and front driveshaft. started it and put it in gear and nothing, Trans temp after the run was only 120. I have no lights. I bought the truck 2 weeks ago from a member here. Has a 408 with a converter, TVS 2300 at 14 PSI, the trans is supposed to be built. The truck makes a little over 800 HP on a AWD dyno. I would asume if the T case chain snapped i would destruction all over instead of just a snap. It literally sounded like a cable that broke. I spent alot of money on buying this and dont want to spend unnecessary money if I can figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I honestly would build the entire trans and have a new pump put in, servos performance clutches, bands, etc. Have it built for more power than you plan on making as a safety point. Think of the truck basically as a F body but with an iron block. being AWD there is alot to think about, The front diffs on theses truck go out being stock, as well as transfer cases. I would for sure do the trans and cross member for it, driveshaft, front diff, 2500HD tie rods, transfer case build, trans, and larger trans cooler is a must, and a T/A cover for the rear end.
  4. Replied. Want this stuff gone guys. Taking up space in my garage.
  5. A T/A cover would help alot. The transfer case is iffy, Mine is built along with the 4L80 Swap and a custom made driveshaft and the Rear end built along with a ton of other stuff. But my truck makes over 800 to all 4 wheels. A bigger trans cooler is a must atleast to me, along with a aftermarket torque converter, the stocker wont like it and will burn up or melt the inside. Some suspension will also help take some stress off the front diff. I have 2500 tie rods as the are larger, you run the risk of snapping those stockers, and larger sway bars, Cal trac bars and larger leaf springs to handle load off the line. A 8 rip pulley setup will be a necessity as it will stop belt slip. Innovative West is what i have along with the tensioner and it woks great. I would also look into electric fans. I have those and another set that I want gone. You would only have to get the wiring harness for it and have it tuned for them to come on at certain temps.
  6. The trans is a weak point. Depending on how much power you are looking to make also makes a big difference, along with boost.
  7. https://www.amazon.com/ROLL-LICENSE-PLATE-LIGHT-ROLLPAN/dp/B01GPD765M/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1523226124&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=led+roll+pan+license+plate+light&psc=1 Exact same size as what i have but LED. Min had a normal bulb and it couldnt be removed since it was one piece and it started to melt the housing. I wanted LED, and was going to go with a small LED strip, until my wife found this last night.

  10. I would also check the compression, and belt wear, the belt in the back is not fun. Also a 8 rib setup is almost a must as you dont want belt slip. also a good tensioner is a good idea as the stock one wont last long.

  14. I have a stock complete OEM bumper and cover, step pads, and the mounting bracket with the license plate plug I dont need. It has to be painted since its Arrival blue but otherwise everything else is perfect.
  15. Love Arrival Blue. Congrats! Make sure to take special care of the bottom of the doors and keep them real clean. GM pinch welds on the bottom of the doors like to rust there.
  16. if the truck was really taken care of, I could see it selling for more along if it fully loaded to the gills. My truck had every option possible and was a 2003, just turned over 65K and i was being offered 20 to 23K from dealers. But in my area you they are really hard to come by. There is a rust bucket abut an hour away from me that a dealer has with 95K 2003, less options and the carfax showed moderate front end damage from a utility pole.and they sold it for 16K. Thats with the clear coming off the the roof, tops of the doors, and rust.
  17. If you dont have a high tech scanner you wont be able to see what the actual cause of the code is being lit up for the air bag code. The Air bag could be a bad sensor/wiring issue or a even a recall. Id call the dealer on that. I wouldnt want to get a airbag in the face. The washer fluid code could just be a bad sensor, that a easy fix.
  18. A T stat wont do anything with trans temps especially when you have a convertor. The temps rise to fast, especially on hot days sitting. I dont run this cooler, but i run this one and it has as 900 CFM fan that I wired to the ignition so its always on when you turn the key until you shut the truck off. I also have it hooked up to a switch so I can have it run when i want. I run a TCI 3800 convertor in my built trans and this has held the temps at 180 all day. If you hot lap the poor thing then temps will rise but otherwise its a beast. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/prm-13515?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-perma-cool&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIju-Ogsvt2QIVTF6GCh02QwLyEAQYAiABEgJN_fD_BwE
  19. I agree, save up and fix the paint issues.
