I currently have a 2/5 3/5 drop, and a big Baer brake upgrade all the way around. This is the first time I have owned a dropped SSS. So Im all new to this. I have 22" drop star DS05's on the truck now with 305/40/22 tires. Im thinking of changing the wheels. I like the dropstars now, But I want to make the truck my own as I just bought it, and started thinking of wheels. I have found some wheels that I like, But I have no clue if they will clear the brakes as the rotors are larger as well. Wondered about the stock 20s Incase I sell these wheels so I can still drive it. I already noticed one of the rear tires bounced up and bent in the lnner lip of the wheel well a tiny bit. Im getting that fixed and dont want it to happen again. The old owner told me the leaf springs were modified, there is plenty of clearance when I look when underneath the truck and I havent had it bottom out yet, just a real firm hard bounce, but no Slamming noise.. Ill have to get a pic tomorrow and post it. . Anyone here know what size backspace etc I will need with my drop to run the same tire size or even a 295 if that will avoid any possible wheel well issues due to the width being smaller. I want the wheels to fit like the factory ones sat if possible. Any Advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike Here is the way the truck sits now.

It is different, but a swap can be done. I dont remember exactly what you have to change because I asked with my old truck. You might find the subject in a search. I asked the same question so you will see my name.

The inside with all the suede is a little over the top. Says nothing about a t case, or the actual mileage on the truck. Will never what hes asking for it. What he did to it, if he spent that much he got ripped off. He didnt even upgrade the sway bars, or the tie rods to larger ones. That will break tie rods left and right otherwise. I love his bushings all are dry rotted. I would like to see the underside of it.

I did my oil cooler lines years ago on my AWD SS and I couldnt get them due to the bends and work space. I had to cut them. Then trying to get them back in was almost impossible, trying to not bend the hard line was not easy. Took me about 4 hours to figure a way to turn and twist and get everything lined up.

My old one was factory height and my Bilstiens were great. The truck cornered well and didnt float around. But yours sounds like they are worn out.

I talked to the trans shop and they said it sounds like the forward sprag. They are digging into it tomorrow to let me know for sure. If the shaft is broke which it sounds like it it did, I hope they make a stronger aftermarket one as my truck will only break it again,

I did mine, They make the special adapters for the quick connects.

Its a great truck. Its a monster. Cant wait to track it on boost, then on the ALK.

If you have a factory exhaust I would do the 2 in and 1 out, unless you want to get rid of the tip and sell it. But then you are better off buying a catback.

Yes i did, I got it 2 weeks ago yesterday from canada. It was the Blue 408 stroker with the TVS 2300 on it for sale here. Yes, no codes. You put it into gear and you can hear and feel it try and go into gear and the rpm change, it just wont engage. I have line pressure so its not the pump. I think its the converter, but Going to have that broke open and rebuilt, and the trans and upgrade what I have to so its bullet proof. Anyone from the area want to help me remove this thing? I cant do it myself, and I just found out who i thought were my friends. I just found a set of chrome OEM center caps. Two are basically brand new, with almost no common wear. The other two you can see some wear but only when you are right on top of them. Im going to pull the trans out and bring the converter to midwest and have them look at it, to be safe. Not even going to bother with checking line pressure. Id be better off going thru it and making it stronger this time around. Just sucks, 2 weeks of owning it and several more grand I have to put into it.

I have a gauge cluster i do not need. Its oem from my 04 SSS. It has 59,330 original miles on it. It has the blue LED upgrade. Now the important part. Its from a canada truck so the cluster reads in KM on top unlike ours in MPH. Otherwise it shows everything in actual Mileage, as you can toggle between KM and Mileage. Its in Mint condition and everything works minus the Cruise control light. But I think thats the way the LEDs were placed as it has some dark spots due to where the LEDS were placed, but can still read the cluster. Otherwise its ready to just plug in. The speedo goes to 200KM per hour. $200 without shipping. These sell for over $300 to over $400 refurbished or used. Text for pics as its easier due to the limit of the size of pics. 847-489-1982.
