  1. Im all for it... back in the day people were all over this stuff. Now its like waiting for a tumble weed to roll by. lol Just so all of you know Im not doing this to make money. If i want a shirt etc Im paying the same price as well. Members that have come over here and got things from me seen the the shirt, the door sills, and the keychain lanyards I had and got all excited. I figured why not try to do this again for the new guys and even us old guys who's shirts etc have seen better days.
  2. I can have t shirts and hoodies made just like mine with no problem. Just need to get some people involved to buy more than a shirt or hoodie here and there. I just need some set numbers on shirts and hoodies to get prices, since that will change with the more people we have go in on them. They will look exactly the same as what I have from the old group buy.
  3. Got two people on their way to the fog light mounting and finding the wiring. If anyone else has questions or wants pics of what setup was feel free to text me.
  4. Shit... I might have to talk to my Buddy who works at a GM dealer and see if he can hook me up. I was trying everything lastnight. It drives me nuts not being able to control something. lol
  5. Welcome. I just bought my SSS from Canada during Storm Violet. Got caught in that all the way home. Looks alot nicer with all the snow gone. lol
  6. As some of you might know I got a new truck and I went to Canada to get it. They have a law where every vehicle has to have the daytime running lights on, and the auto headlights. This meand you cannot turn your headlights off at dusk even with the switch. I dont mind the running lights, i hate the auto headlights, You cannot tun them off like you can the U.S models where you just turn the headlight knob to the left and they go off. As you know our trucks headlights will come on normally which I like. But I want to be able to turn the headligths and the parking lights off at the switch like my old use to be. Anyone know how to do this? Ive been searching and its always remove the light sensor, or ht the dome override switch 4 times etc etc. I just want simple.
  7. Tried to find a link that I posted pics on and my little how to. That was back in 2012. I cant find it. Ill have to look thru my backup for my computer and i can dig up the pics. All I can tell you is the brackets are straight and already have holes in them. They are the perfect lenght with just a little trimming needed, they are thick as well. The hole lined up perfect where the foglight met, and the bracket met to the OEM mounting for the foglights. Text me I found a few pics that might help on my phone from last year before it was wrecked. 847-489-1982 Im up all night so dont feel as you will be affecting my beauty sleep. lol
  8. GM had a issue with the clear or protectant as they call it for the headlights and taillights. Thats why you see all the GM vehicles with yellow or hazy lights. They cant take the heat and they end up destroying themselves.
  9. With the link provided, you dont have to remove your ducts. I didnt. I just used some 4 Inch straight brackets that had pre drilled holes in them fro lowes, got some nuts, bolts and washers and cut down the brackets to where I needed them. Once you start, you will see during mock up on length the brackets need to be. I did one side and just copied over to the other. There was another thread where I had my pics of my brackets, length and part numbers so it was 1 2 3. Then the finished product of the lights installed on, and the replacement switch that you just plug in where your cargo light panel is. No need to have to go into your fuse box other then to add the relay.
  10. The harness is tucked up toward the front bumper and hidden. I had to literally take my hand and a flashight and wiggle wire loom around and down the harness fell.
  11. I just talked to the company who does the Lanyards as he doesnt have the equipment to do them where they wont fall apart with use or wear off. They have a minimum order of 100 to get the price knocked down to $5.00 each for me. Otherwise Ill have to keep looking. Same goes for the hats to be embroidered. Any color change or change in the design is a additional $25 charge as they have to swap colored thread and start new. shirts and hoodies can be done as a image or lettering is just pressed and ironed on
  12. All year SSS's basically have the fog light harness since the factory isnt going to remove that just for the SS. I did my fog lights with mine. You can buy the fog lights on ebay for nothing, then just have to make your own brackets to hold them and your done. You will have to buy a new cargo switch box with the fog light button. I have mine that i cant use anymore as I have a blower and the intake is where the one fog light would be. Thats a simple pop out the old one, and plug in the new one and snap the unit back in the dash and your done. there is a thread about the fog lights and I put up pics of How i mounted mine, and what I used with measurements. Its here somewhere. The whole install to get things perfect took me like 2 hours since i wanted it to be perfect. Heres the foglight assemblies you need. Do not use the bulbs if they come with them. Mine turned black and broke. Just a heads up. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2006-Chevy-Silverado-Avalanche-Bumper-Fog-Lights-Lamps-Left-Right-04-05-06/361447769506?hash=item5427f745a2:g:kPsAAOSwFqNa266C&vxp=mtr
  13. Windshield banners are no problem. I would have to get with my buddy and do some measuring so the letters arent to big and stretches across the whole windshield and goes with the curve of it. Whatever wording you like can be done. It can also be in any color to match your trucks color or just white, or reflective. Cost with anything I mentioned when I started this thread depends on how many people we can get to go in on something. The more people we get the lower the price will be as its cheaper to do in batches then 3 or 4. The lanyards wouldnt be what is in the pic. The two that I have and what my pic is, its only a thin piece of fabric and the lettering is ironed on. The lanyards I would be having made would be of thick material and would be stitched in so it cant wear off and crack. I just need numbers of how many of what first, then once I have numbers, people can tell me what color etc they want. Say 20 people want lanyards, the price could be $15 for just one to be made, then we get 19 more and it could be $8 each for example. Price goes off of the material used and its quality. I believe when the lanyards first started selling they were like $10 each. I think its a little much for something you get that is only iron pressed on lettering. Let me get a quote on just one Lanyard and then ask how many it would take to drop prices. As this guy will be doing everything, even carbon fiber, wrapping for outside the mirrors etc. He does this to support his family as he is retired Veteran and got into doing everything... If anyone has any other ideas of what they would like that could become a group deal, or even something just for yourself let me know. If its something you want as a one off for your truck PM me and I can pass it along to him.
  14. Shirt and lanyard. I had to crop the crap out of the pics. But the pics are from my shirt. Silverado SS on the front left chest, and the truck on the back. That would be a factory photo we would use. Otherwise your truck could be on the back. Any color lanyard with any color writing.
  15. I can see the driving issue with the setup and stock converter. I dont think a 9.5 would be a bad choice. You have to think about the stall speed which is important. My converter is a tight 2800 and I have a built 4L80E with a 408, and a blower. It does just fine with that. I personally wouldnt go above that.
  16. I just got my new dipstick, the part number on it is for the 80 as there is a difference. My old dipstick just happened to break apart as the plastic was old.
  17. Ill snag a pick of my cooler and post it here with my phone for you. Install is easy. As far a s a converter goes, that all depends on the type of cam and heads you run, you go with too big of a stall and you can hurt performance. there is a loose style converter, and a tight style converter. The loose converter will act like a manual car slipping the clutch as it will spin and you will hear the truck and it will then start moving. it has alot of rotating mass before you get going, then you build heat. A tight converter doesnt spin as much and you wont have to wait to for the converter to reach the stall point.
  18. 4L65E is stock. You use yours as a core and you get another 4L65E back from them.

  20. Yea it will, with a tune even on a stock truck you will feel a difference as manufactures always have vehicles de tuned if you want to put i that way.
  21. Thats alot if your staying with a stock rebuilt rear end. You can buy a aftermarket one that will never break for less than that. The replacement of dropping the old one out and the new one in, only takes a few hours.
