  1. I can't speak for the 04 but I think the Mcgaughy's 2/3.5 kit comes with hangers and shackles in the rear. On my 07 it used a flip kit with new hangers. The Mcgaughy's hangers on the 2007 have 2 sets of mounting bolts to the frame which yeilds the 4" or 5" drop. I have also seen the Mcgaughy's hangers with 2 sets of shackle holes. I would imagine that to go from 3.5 to 4 drop in the rear that you would just modify the hanger or use a different length shackle. Just my guess. Hope this helps. Kim
  2. I would have to agree on the driveability and ride issue. I just did a Mcgaughy's 3-5" kit on my 2007 Crew Max. I realize that it is not the same truck but the ride and handling have both improved. Good luck on your project Mike! Kim
  3. I have had my Chev. 07 Crew Vmax 2wd for a few months. Finally seem to have resolved all the issues with it. Just put a Mcgaughy's 3"/5" kit on it using the factory 20's. Real happy with the looks and the driveability. I am interested in learning more about the "custom tune" and who I need to talk to.
