Thanks JD! I was considering a T-56 as well but wasn't sure if it would bolt up to a 6.0 or not and not sure if the shifter would come out in the same spot as the stock 5 spd. Any idea? Also, what year 6.0's should I be looking for? I think I remember hearing 03-06. Sound right?

So I would like to start considering a 6.0 swap for my RST, but have a few questions. Which is the best 6.0 for the Silverados? Which cam is best for a manual trans? And I'm asumming the manual trans will work fine with the 6.0 but I'm not 100% sure on this. Thanks in advace guys!!

I've never been out that way with my truck, besides passing West Bend on the freeway. I've seen one or two like it as well. I was working at Holz Chevy at the time and they got 3 red w/ black stripes and 2 black w/ red stripes in, so there's a couple more in the area. GMC also had a version but I've only seen one in person.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! After browsing the site, it looks pretty informative. Plenty of important repair/mod info. It looks like I'll be here everyday!

The tune is custom with h/p tuners software. A guy came to my house and tuned it with his laptop. As for the electric fans, is there really a noticeable difference? BTW, that was on '05 and up if I remember correctly? I have considered a supercharger, but not until it's out of warrany. I'm just looking for a couple of fairly basic bolt ons until I can get my s/c,

On the RST? Just headers, full dual exhaust, CAI, and a computer tune. I just posted in the Tech and Mod section about doin some more mods. Lookin to do a cam, intake and maybe a couple of other small bolt ons. Just gotta save up the $$$.

Hello, everybody! I've been a member for a while, but only posted one or two times. Hoping to make this one of my regular sites. Anywho, my name is Jeff, I live in Milwaukee (yes, I drink... alot ) and my collection includes my 2004 Silverado RST, a 1993 Z28, and a 1984 Hurst/Olds. Sorry for the bad pic of the Olds, I'll get some better ones later!

So I'd like to mod my RST a little bit more. Right now it has headers, full dual exhaust, CAI, and a computer tune. It's a 4.8L backed by a 5spd with 3.73's. I'd like to do more to it and would like a little advice on where to start. First off, how interchangeagle are LS1/6 parts? Will a cam/intake manifold/injecters work? I would assume these parts are plentiful and cheap to get ahold of. I have also considered a throttle body spacer, but haven't really heard if they're worth the money. Thanks for the help in advance!

I'm not sure what to think of that... (yay, my first post! - I'll intoduce myself in the new members section as soon as I get 5 posts!)
