  1. Does anyone know what the difference is between these two motors to achieve the different hp/tq #'s? I know thee 6.2 has a larger bore than the 6.0 but they share the same stroke creating the 376 c.i. vs 364 c.i. I also know the 6.2 has a higher compression ratio but don't know if this is due to the pistons or different heads. Do they share the same heads? Intake manifold? Throttle Body? Cam? Does VVT have any affect on this? What I am ultimately looking at is can I swap any of my L76 parts with any L9H or L92 parts to increase the hp/torque?
  2. I have had my truck going on two years and have made every attempt to run a new tundra with no luck. It's like they see my Vortex Maxx badge and don't want any part of it. LOL Has anybody had any better luck or seen one run at the track?
  3. My 07 VMaxx with a Nelson Tune runs a 15.1 quarter and I ran run a few weeks ago. From a 55ish -80 roll (I kicked down to 2nd) I pulled him about 1.5 to 2 links. We ran again from a 65ish roll to 80 and it was dead even (I believe that time it kicked down to 3rd). I was impressed with mine seing as he still has more power... Either way the guy was cool about it and shot me a thumbs up when we were both done. lol his female passenger was not so happy when we first ran as he was getting hit a few times in the shoulder. My Girlfriend however is used to this and just sat back in the seat I like to think I have her trained lol.
  4. Yeah I would be interested to see some pics too.
  5. Got an '07 NNBS VMax. Went with a Nelson 93 Octane Street Tune. LOVE IT. Gonna go to the track in a couple weeks and get some proof of the improvements. I have nothing but great things to say about the Nelson Tune.
  6. Yes it does have trailer brakes, it is an open trailer, and we have the controller in my dad's 99 Z works wonders. I plan on installing the controller in mine but just haven't had a chance. Although, I was reading through my owners manual for my VMax and noticed a small section that mentioned a factory trailer brake controller. It was shown to be about 2 to 3 inches below the headlamp knob. Does anyone have this or has anyone heard of this?
  7. Lets see some pics of the rig with the bikes on the trailer!!! How big of a trailer do you have? What all bikes you hauling? I plan on hauling my first substantial load this weekend with a 16' Car Hauler with probably 2 Banshee's, a 400 EX and maybe a Craptor. Anything I might need to look out for or do to the truck? It has about 3500 miles on it (not trying to jack your thread)
  8. What kind of quality of sound?? How did you end up installing it? Any tips? Where did you end up getting it? Thanks
  9. i was looking into this too, seems to be a good deal. You get to keep your factory head unit No splicing into your factory harness, simply plug and play Pre Amp Outputs with gain control I believe Keep your steering controls, XM and Onstar as is Some questions that came to mind though: I was wandering if anyone had done it or not though.... Also how do you remove the radio to install the PAC? Do you need any special tools?
  10. I am looking for a pair of 2007 GM Alum. Tahoe/Surburban/Avalanche 20's with or without tires. Please email me at [email protected] if you might be able to help me out. Thanks
  11. Why the fishing line? And does anyone know if they sale the trim around that badge (currently it is chrome) in a painted option, prefer'd in black?
  12. What can someone expect from a Nelson Tune? I Just Got my VMAX today!! I think it has great potential but a tune is definately needed to tap into that potential. I'll try to include a few pics of it. Really excited about the rig but already thinking about a Tune and I'm about 2 hrs away from Nelson's shop so a Dyno Tune is what I have in mind. Anybody care to share their thoughts opinions.....
  13. Who did your tune and what could you tell seat of the pants after you got it done?
