  1. 2003 70K miles. Had run down the gas to 3 gallons, refilled and now have a hard time starting. Will turn over nicely but won't catch and start right away as before. Rough idle Is it possible the fuel pump is bad because I ran down the gas so low?
  2. Recently my keyless entry FOB locks the doors ok but will not unlock either door. Any suggestions? beefer
  3. With the recent heavy snow and sleet storms here in brrr MN, the washer jet/nozzle on the passenger side of my 2003 SS is hanging down on the windshield. It looks like there is a small clip the holds the nozzle in place. Is the clip broken or just unsnapped? If broken, what is the fix, a new arm or bracket? Is the bracket part of the arm? beefer
  4. What happens to existing warranties if GM can not stay solvent?
  5. The grill chrome strip that wraps under the headlights with the bow tie in the middle is starting to blister off from behind on my 03. Anybody else seen this? Is there an easy fix? The bubble is the about 2" in diameter. beefer

    Radio Knob

The paint on my 03 radio knobs is peeling off and showing white underneath. I suppose one could repaint with flat black. Is there an easy way to repair? How do the knobs come off? regards beefer

    Steering Shaft

I also have a 2003 with 37K and had the end shaft replaced at 20K under warranty. The word is that there exists some play between the square end of the steering shaft and the connector on the steering box. The initial fix was to fill the gap with Li grease. I was told repeatedly that there is no safety issues only and annoyance. Mine would clunk when turning from a flat surface onto a raised level such as my drive way. Even now when starting out from a dead stop I can feel the play through the shaft when turning. I would go back to he dealer and tell them that there was a warranty fix TSB and that you consider your existing condition to be a potential safety issue. regards beefer
  8. Please pardon the ignorance but please explain 7-70 and ref 07187. I have a 03 Silverado and had problems in the past when on a cold winter start here up north, the truck started but all the gauges read zero and did not operate. They remained stationary with no response until I let it sit in the sun and restarted after an hour. Is this related to the coverage? regards beefer
