  1. Whose down in AZ that you wanna race chase?
  2. Nice pics and vids Mel and Wody! Was great meeting some of you SS peeps! I can't believe chase got the best lap time too!! I thought I had it in the bag up until his last one!! Nice one chase...I'll get your ass next time!!
  3. I'm only going so I can kick the shit out of people at go kart racing! SO yeah add me too
  4. I'll go! count me in...what is the address and what time did you decide? you want to start the gtg early since you're gonna be there at 10 am?
  5. Rob...update the PT thread, someone else is interested in going!
  6. Yeah it's fun but I'll be the first to admit the timing for Rob and I's playing around wasn't ideal because of the traffic that was around. Kinda wish we weren't on the 405 fwy (worst fwy in the world, it's not smooth one bit) and that there wasn't any traffic around. Probably coulda picked a better place and time to do it. Fastest I've ran my truck is 165 and that was only because I became too much of a chicken to keep going.
  7. Great pics Dave, you sure handle that camera like a professional that's for sure!! Thanks for the fun on the ride back Rob, It's always fun doing some high speed passes on the fwy. Was lucky we ran into that C6! And whatever else that BMW was.
  8. So you guys better add a Sierra SS (if they made one!) I'm not getting shipped out/deployed as of now so I might be around. If I am I'll come out and chill. I'll bring the big fella along!!
  9. Hate him all you want guys but this is siiiiiiickkkkk!!!!
  10. I'm still around but hang out more on PT.net. I still check it on you guys!
  11. Want to add my .02 cents if I may, for those interested in following in his footsteps or just curious... What Dave has done requires a lot of work and alot of rejection. I walked the SEMA floor with him for 2 days and watched him get rejected 9 times out of 10 and told "not interested", "we don't do that", "we're all out of sponsorship products right now", "come back to us at the begining of the fiscal year", "We only deal with companies, no private sponsorship", "Looks like a great truck but we're not interested", "maybe later", etc... Handling/managing all the rejection received in those 2 days is something %95 of people cannot handle...me included. As he gained sponsors little by little I gained alot of respect for Dave and what it takes to talk and obtain sponsors. He even got rejected by a good friend of ours who we knew and I knew that hurt! Gaining sponsors is work and is not easy at all and requires lots of prep work. Not too many people have seen or know of the 50 page three ring binder he has on his truck with pictures, parts list, sponsors on board, Past/Present/Future directions of the vehicle, advertizers on board, etc... The biggest misnomer about sponsorship is it's absolutely free and you get stuff because they are your friends. Sponsors are running a buissness, you have to be a proffesional and a buissnessman in order to gain their trust and interest in you. It's not let's be friends and now you can give me stuff. Dave has approched his build with a business metality and profesionalism which he is able to convey with the sponsors. Finally, to put it another way...I've spent more money on my truck than Dave has... at least up till now. However I have maybe half the stuff he has and if I could do it again after seeing the work he's put into sponsorship to get those parts...I still wouldn't do it his way, I don't have the ability or the drive necessary to do it, and I already have a job, spank you very much!
  12. I voted but I won't be around for any of it!! best of luck everyone!
  13. Just FYI...I might be shipping out on the 20th of august. If that's the case count me out!
  14. Thanks for the PM Rob, yeah I'm in as long as I'm in town. The sooner the better in my case, September might be a push but if I'm still around I'll come out and play. I'm all for somewhere between IE and Ventura. Santa Monica/South Bay sounds good to me!!
