i have heard nothing but horror stories about autoloc. everything i have ever heard is that their products are extremely overpriced and poorly made. with regards to putting a popper, i dont know what the benefit would be. a popper literally "pops" so putting that on ur tailgate would cause the tailgate to be thrown out of the locked position and slammed down every time. doesnt sound like a good idea to me, i do know that they make automatic tailgate kits, dont remember who makes one, but its out there. any reputable custom shop could probably easily fab one up for you. but i would stay away from a popper, i just dont see the point. i also remember seeing kits where you can basically change how the tailgate opens. they have one where the whole thing opens to the right or left, just like a big long door. and theres another one where u have to cut the tailgate in half and they open out like barn yard doors. hope this helps, good luck, and make sure u post some pics

im a huge fan of red, but if ur doing a two tone for some reason ive always been in love with orange. i really like when people do black on top orange on bottom, or orange on top white on bottom, i think both of those combos look AWESOME. Just remember though, any good respectable painter will tell you, that the general rule of thumb with 2 tone is the darker color usually goes on top, its more appealing to the eyes. so if you are infact gonna keep red on top, traditionally speaking you're gonna want something lighter ie white, silver, yellow, etc. or vice versa if you want red on the bottom. heres some pics i have of some cool two tones, hopefully they can help u out.

yea so i was searchin craigslist today and saw some guy selling his snug top for $600 which is a pretty good deal as it is cause they sell for around $800 before paint, i called and asked if he would take 400 and he said he would take $450 so i went over and picked it up 30 mins later. im pretty happy, ive always wanted a tonneau cover but never could find one in my price range, so im pretty happy right now. Its blue now, but im gonna get it painted white to match. some of you saw the pics of the bed of my truck and im gonna have to get everything painted and smoothed so im just gonna get everything done at the same time, ill post some pics once i get everything done in a couple weeks.

so as some of you know i had to sell my silverado. although i miss the silverado i sold it for a little more than it was worth so i am happy, the guy that bought it didnt try and low ball me at all, very smooth transaction. i bought this, its a 2005 Dodge Ram, 2wd, SLT, with the Hemi V8, and it has only 20,000 miles on it. i bought it for $8500 which is $4k below blue book. Im a chevy guy through and through, this is my 6th vehicle, and the first one that isnt a chevy so it is a little different, not bad, but different. anyways the truck does need cosmetic work but nothing TOO major. The truck was used as a construction truck before and apparently they were grinding or something next to the truck and tiny metal flakes flew onto the truck and are now starting to rust, but im gonna get it clay bared and detailed so that stuff will come right off. alright guys let the Dodge bashing begin. and yea yea i know... now i need to change my name to Leftcoast_Dodge. so heres a pic of the tailgate, i obviously couldnt get a close up of the whole tailgate but this is pretty much what it looks like. im gonna have it taken off and smoothed out and repainted, debadged, and have the handle color matched this is a pic of the top of the rail on the bed, the guy had a lumber rack and the holes started to rust, im getting line-x so they are gonna grind it out and fix it up, so im not worried about that part here's the bed, its in ehh shape, but again, im gettin line-x so it doesnt matter

yea but it wont be done till august 2010, then im gonna have to save money for months after that so i could move out by dec 2010. thats just too far for me, i wanna sell it now so i can save up some cash and move out. damn thats crazy man. i dont have time for 2 jobs, im a full time student, plus i work, plus i have an internship. thats just too much for me. i really just want a car/truck that i can have paid off that i wont have to worry about. i graduate school in dec, so hopefully i can get a real job after and i can sell whatever im going to get and then i can buy another bad ass truck. i appreciate what everyone is saying, and i do LOVE my truck and dont want to see her go, but when it comes down to it shes still a truck. wasnt my first, and wont be my last. i need to move out, and worry about my life. thanks again for all the input guys

when are u planning on coming out? cause that can really limit what ur doing. CA always has beautiful weather, but if u come out before May, you probably wouldnt go to the beach. Disneyland is a must, Knotts is ehhh i only go there in october when they have all the monsters and scary mazes. Hollywood is cool at night like others have mentioned. Dont expect to see celebrities everywhere you go though. for some reason everyone thinks that they just walk around. movies and tv arent even filmed in hollywood, they're filmed in studio city/ burbank. speaking of which you could get tickets for the tonight show with leno if you're out here before he goes off the air, thats always fun.

Saturn dealerships will be closed by 2011, and no new models will be introduced under the nameplate. Meanwhile, Pontiac will be phased out as a distinct division. Certain “niche” models will still cary the Pontiac name, but they will be sold at Chevrolet dealerships. The brand pullback comes in addition to the planned sale of Hummer, and the potential spin-off of Saab. GM notes Hummer might be shut down after March 31st if a buyer for the brand is not found. In its 20-year history, the Saturn brand has never been profitable for GM. Most auto journalists would agree Saturn’s new models are vastly improved, but for reasons possibly related to a poor brand perception, sales have not improved proportionally. Since most of Saturn’s new cars are rebadged Opels, it’s conceivable that GM could attempt to sell certain imported Opel models under the Chevrolet name, though that is purely speculation at this point.d

It seems like almost everyone has been selling their truck lately and i gotta sell mine too. its not because of the economy though. im only 22 years old and i live at home still, and i make payments of $400 a month for my truck. i want to move out in Aug-Sep this year and still have 18 months left on my payments. going to full school time and bartending part time doesnt give me enough money to move out AND keep my truck unfortunately so i have to let her go. If anyone is interested or knows anyone that might be interested shoot me a PM. im not in a rush to sell it though, so please dont low ball me, i know what its worth. Selling at $15,000. Its a 2004 Chevy Silverado Special Edition. it has the 6.0 HO Silverado SS engine, trans, suspension, brakes, etc. this was before the VMAX trucks came out. It is 2wd and is the exact same thing as a 2wd SS, except it isnt an SS. Truck is the 3LT model with leather, heated seats, bose system, the whole nine yards. also has lots of extras; shaved tailgate, linex bed liner, viper 791, intake, flowmaster exhaust, and LOTS more. Truck has just under 40k miles and has been babied for ever. im gonna post a couple pics if anyone is interested. I know i havent been on the site for a while, ive just been very busy with school, work, internship, etc. I love this site and everyone on it, and i dont plan on going anywhere once i get a new vehicle. sorry for the long post guys.
