got it back to the dealer and they replaced the tranfer case control modual it had something to do with the front end locking in and spinning the front shaft. i got under thr truck and it spins freely now but i marked it drove it to work in 2wd and it had moved i dont know what to think.

the shaft was turning i dont noif something was wrong or if in 2wd the front diff spins the front shaft even thought the tcase is not sending power i am not sure how ifs front end with an axel disconect works.

ok got my truck back today seems to be fine but the dealership just ran it through a car wash 3 or 4 time so its still real oily underneath but you still have to wonder if any damage was done runing with uot oil pressure for a few seconeds.

i have the same set up with a non bose head unit i like it better that the other adapter i had but i still have two problames 1 ipod is maybe 20% quiter then fm or cd. 2. has some staic on xm that i left hooked up even though it sad to unhook my kit was called isimple just to be sure were talkin about the same thing thanks for looking at this.

just wanted to tell you guys about my day. I heard a noise coming from the front end a loud thud at first then a chik chik noise checked the cv's ,wheel lug covers, lug nuts and did not find a thing. I stared to go to the dealer and then smoke starts rolling out the back oil pressure light comes on I shut it right off and coast to the side fo the road. One of the bolts that holds the front u joint on the front drive shaft came out the strap got lose, spun aroud and cut the oil filter. i hope it did not hurt the motor it still had some oil in it when i pulled over. I just wanted to save some one else the headache. And the front shaft has never been out dut i have ran it in 4x4 at the drag strip.

i was just as suprised as you guys last few times at the track only a small chirp at luanch stalling the converter in 2wd but i was the first run of the night it rain the day before and this is the first time with the mud tires (and last)the truck sat on the line for 45 min before we stared so in was cooled down i just wish i had it on tape. 0

i ran one time in 4h and one time in auto 4wd both with 2.2 60ft and 14.9et in 2wd 60ft was 3.1and 18.5 et with a near half track burnout i kept on pesdeling it but evey time i floored it it just spun worse the spedo caught my eye one time at 95 mph. one wild ride

we just got some weather in the 60s' here in kansas city went to the strip tonight. first run i had bad traction poblames i had my 285 bfg mts' on the truck. second run went [email protected] mph in 4 wheel drive fastest pevious run was 15.1 in the 90 degree heat in 2wd my only go fast mods are outlaw cai and nelson 91 oct tune. it seems to me that runing in 4wd kills my mph. has any one else noticed the differnce.

not bad times to start with .my 06 vmax 4x4 ran a 15.2 with a pcm tune 14 s are not far away. you just need a few mods

thanks for the help guys. im not sure how far kc ia above sea level ,it was about 88 and muggy outside ive just seen so may post about mid 14 sec vmaxs and was thinking something might be wrong.

hey guys i have an 06 vmax 4x4 just got a nelson 91 oct tune and took it to the strip it ran a 15.2 @89.9 just wondering how this stacks up thanks for your input. bigron18

hey guys toook my 06 vmax 2 the track today the temp ws about 80 and humid but i went 15 flat at 89.9 its a x tend cab 4x4 only mod is a nelsons 89 tune

got nelsons tune today WOW runs alot better 2ed gear chirps spins the tires till i let off burries the tach over 6k i would highly recomend a nelsons tune . and no b. s. either just took the old pcm out put the new one in and fired it right up.
