We're up to 53 Monte Carlo's and wait till I count em 1 Silverado SS registered so far.Are you guys all busy washing the Bar-b-ques that day or what.lol

Here is the time table as it stands for now. Friday at 4 pm you can start to meet up at Garfield's (at the mall) for dinner. We park the Monte's out by themselves in the lot. Dinner will run through to about 6:30. Feel free to stop in anytime and pull up a chair. At 6:30 the Trivia/Scavenger hunt will get set up. If you are planning on going out on this adventure (and I recommend it highly) you need to be back at the Super 8 by 6:45. The hunt will start right at 7 and you have exactly two hours to complete you quest. Sat. morning the Monte's will leave the Super 8 at 7:30 am to head to the track. You will arrive around 8am. At that time you will sign the release form from the track and enter the track and get registered. Track time starts at 9am. At 11 we will take a break from the track for lunch and voting for the car show. We will return to the track at 12. The awards will be handed out at 3 immediately followed by a group lap and photos on the track. The show ends at 5. If you have not yet registered there is still time. As of today we have 47 Monte Carlo's signed up.It would be awesome if we could get a large turnout of Silverado SS's as well . We have the track for the day and we usually put out 3 vehicles spaced out on the track at the same time.Each vehicle enters the track from pit road and crosses the start finish line twice then re-enters the pits .As one vehicle leaves the track another starts their laps. It's quite an experience driving on the banked turns . We have cars that come from as far away as Florida California and South Dakota and most of them will be back again this year. I look forward to this event every year. Bob

Silverado SS Members My name is Bob Blaby.I work at the Oshawa Truck Plant where all of your Silverado SS were built.I have been involved for the last 3 years with a Monte Carlo Event Held at Michigan International Speedway. This is an open invitation to all members of the Silverado SS Forum to find out how much interest there would be in having a joint show of Silverado SS trucks and Monte Carlo cars at Michigan International Speedway on April 21 2007. We have booked the track for the day and have use of the infield and track from 8 am until 5 pm. There will be a vehicle show inside the track and all vehicles will have the opportunity to drive at least 2 and ½ laps on the track (speed to be determined by MIS Officials). Vehicles will be numbered and allowed onto the track in the same order paid confirmation is received. Vehicles will be judged by participant voting. The cost will be $45.00 Per Vehicle (U.S. Funds) for the 1 day event which covers the show, awards, track time and lunch at the track. New this year on Friday evening there will be a scavenger hunt for anyone interested in participating.. 2003 production will be completed sometime Thursday evening.With 2004 slated to start about 15 minutes after the last 03. I will keep you posted if I can.
