  1. After throwing my truck up on the lift and looking everything over thoroughly, my main concern is the crossover pipe from the drivers side to the passenger side. With the new tubular transmission cross member, there will be much more roof available above. Basically, as long as the 4L80E transmission pan is not deeper, it should be a non issue. Getting new cross member parts powder coated and accumulating parts slowly as funds become available. prestinb
  2. Thanks for the info...much appreciated. prestinb
  3. Getting ready to do a 4L80E conversion in my 06 GMC Sierra 2WD Vortec Max with torsion bar front suspension. Currently have ARH headers and catless crossover pipes. Going to use Dtrfab81 tubular transmission crossover. Does the crossover exhaust pipe coming from the driver's side have to be changed at all to accommodate the 4L80E? Is the 4L80E pan in the same location? Any assistance would greatly be appreciated so I can start accounting for changes. prestinb
  4. These arms were installed but not driven on. Purchased new from Tony (Norcal) for $270 shipped. They can be yours for $225 shipped. prestinb (Brandon)
  5. More low 5 / 7 - 8" with running shoes... Side: Front Side: Undercarriage: P295/65R15 M/T Street ET stuffed: prestinb (Brandon)
  6. Recent photos with more low 5 / 7 - 8" and running shoes... Side: Front Side: Undercarriage: P295/65R15 M/T Street ET stuffed: prestinb (Brandon)
  7. I will get some updated photos with more low and its running shoes on... prestinb (Brandon)
  8. JC03SS, Just for clarification, I have full tailpipes that dump in each rear corner near the bumper. I am not running dumps before the axle. If I did that...the sound would be completely obnoxious inside the cab. I fired it up once or twice with open headers and I think my vision blurred. prestinb (Brandon)
  9. To be honest there is very little if any cruising down the road windows down. Put the windows up and stereo on...quiet. The same was true for the Flowmasters. The big difference I believe is the higher RPM range I run my truck at due to the cam. I would bet there would be a lot of drone on a stock truck. However if I hit the go pedal she sings to 7k... prestinb (Brandon)
  10. Doesn't work from my IPhone but seems to work just fine from my laptop. Anyway...I really like the Spintechs...it sounds similar to the Corsa exhaust I had to be honest. prestinb (Brandon)
  11. Just for reference...I just swapped out my set of 3" Center In/Out Flowmaster Super 40s for a set of 3" Center In/Out Spintech Pro-Street # 6441. Here is a clip from my buddy's windows who was pacing me from a stop light going around the corner. He has a Duramax so there was no mixing of exhaust sounds http://s438.photobucket.com/user/prestinb1000/media/2006%20GMC%20Sierra%20VMAX/Spintech.mp4.html prestinb (Brandon)

  13. Finally made it to the track last night for a few runs. I did zero track prep and left the truck in daily driver attire...basically the worst case possible due to wheel/tire combo. So what did I learn... 1. Street tires suck...almost lost it around half track on the 1st run. 2. I like to take naps at the lights. 3. 2wd trucks make it difficult to hook. Other than that...it was fun but perhaps a little track prep would go a long way. I didn't get video of the 1st run...just a timeslip. The two videos correspond to the 2nd and 3rd runs respectively. 14. cmoney23, It is one of the biggest car shows that I have every been to. We always went to it until the last year they sponsored it in 1998. Due the excessive partying and debotchery, Duqoin stopped hosting it because it was too much of a hassle...but when they realized the huge money loss I believe that wanted it back. On a separate note...as long as the weather cooperates I will be runnging my truck Wednesday night at Gateway Motorsports Park... prestinb (Brandon)
  15. Is anyone planning on attending this weekend? This is 1st year it is back since 1998... prestinb (Brandon)
  16. shadowsniper3006, If it would ever stop raining around here I might be able to get to the track. I feel that my tune is finally complete after ~36 revisions. Zippy is thorough to say the least. The truck is night and day compared to the MAF tune I was running. I honestly believe that the final dyno charts I posted are not even close compared to my seat dyno now... prestinb (Brandon)
  17. kcsilveradoss, I'm with you...just completed the same upgrade a few months ago. The ARH's made a huge difference but were much tighter fit with the 1 7/8 primaries...I wonder how tight the 2" primaries will be? prestinb (Brandon)
  18. Where exactly are you located around St. Louis? I am actually from Belleville, IL. prestinb (Brandon)
  19. I chose the N/A route and wouldn't change it for anything...well maybe for a 408 N/A build... prestinb (Brandon)
  20. Dynatech Headers and Catted Mid-pipes have been sold. prestinb (Brandon)
  21. I can not say definitiviely but I believe that is the lowest you can go on a AWD SS. I have a VHO and wouldn't want to go any lower without notching due to the limited space between the axle and bump stops now. I do not bottom out but I am sure it is really close... prestinb (Brandon)
  22. Just my opinion... I would bet that your injectors are maxed out. I know on my VHO, my stock injectors (which I think were 18lb) could barely keep with a small tune...let alone a cam. When I originally added the cam and stall to mine, I used a stock LS2 (26lbs or 28lbs I think) injector and converted the connections. You could probably get these really cheap at a speed shop... prestinb (Brandon)
  23. I think mine did sit a little higher...but I honestly can't really figure out why. If you contact Tony, he will take care of your questions and concerns. [email protected] prestinb (Brandon)
