I have an aem brute force intake and want to clean the filter it's a dry flow so I don't need oil would I be able to just use water? if u use water u have to let it dry. id use compressed air first then if that doesnt do it good enough then use waster but LET IT DRY for at least 4 hours -------------------- Bob is my name, hemi eatin's my game! NEVER EVER use compressed air. Let it dry on its own. no not that kind of air. im talking about WITHOUT water. just blowing off the dirt when the filters off. im not spray it while the filter is on the truck. im talking about taking the filter off, spraying like dust cleaner air on the filter before it is washed -------------------- Bob is my name, hemi eatin's my game! NEVER EVER use compressed air. Let it dry on its own. That ONLY applies for K&N style (gauze/cotton) filters... I have been drying mine with my compressor for a long time now... No problems what so ever!! Just follow the instruction posted to clean it, they are pretty straight forward This post has been edited by WICKEDOWESIX: Nov 6 2009, 11:20 PM -------------------- ![]() 2006 Silverado SS: 6.0L, AEM CAI, Coated LT's, Deleted Cats, Custom Magnaflow Exhaust, SLP 160* Stat, MSD Wires, 44# Injectors, TSP 228R Cam Harland Sharp 1.7 RR, Comp 918's, Ti Retainers, Hardend Pushrods, ASP UDP, PI 3000 10.5" Stall, Built 65E Trans, 4.10 Gears, EFI Live Tune. 1/4 mile 13.56 @ 99.77MPH |

Moving topic....The How 2 section is for posting a detailed description on "How To" perform a function or solve a problem, not asking for assistance on How To do something.
