I just got a 2002 Silverado and the transmission is bad. It just goes into low gear and I think was run out of fluid. The owner says he stuck it in reverse while driving down the road and had it worked on but it then leaked.

Anyway... I think I need to replace the transmission and not have it rebuilt.

The RPO code in the glovebox says M30. Someone on the net said it is a 4L65E. The code indicates it is 4L60E.

Does the transmission below sound ok?

there really is no real difference in the 60 and 65 excpet for some internal differences but they are basically the same...That one should work.

7 here :banghead:

If you arent gonna mod the truck up, you don't have to spend the money doing the swap to an 80e. But if you have plans for it, I say go for it
