Admin Mervz Posted April 2, 2004 Admin Report Share Posted April 2, 2004 Hey guys!! Our very own tahoe341 has given us a great chance to see the inside of the GM full size truck plant and how our trucks were built!! This video is 33 mintues long! So sit back and be prepared to go start to finish from frame, to testing. This video shows you it all. Thanks so much to Bob, enjoy!! Please do not link this video on other sites, as its quite large and only members here should be able to use the bandwidth first. Big10Fan
ok the coolest part was the painting, that thing was awesome how it whipped around in 3mins, next was the dyno thing where it checks things out....thing that confuses me is why my truck didnt have 20miles on it from that road test...do they reset it or is it only 1 truck per group? n2opwr
Now everyone can see how we got the black marks on our driveshafts and we thought they were rubbing.

snoopy
DAMN, if we all could just mount tires that fast!!!!!awesome video... just think all of those union people making 25-40 dollars an hour probably cost more than that truck to build!!! The labor cost is only 3% of the total cost to produce a truck or car in Canada which is the same as the cost to ship it to the dealer! It's also no picnic being an auto worker as some may think, and don't you get paid for the job you do ?
