I posted this earlier in forced induction by mistake.

What tranfer case does a Silverado SS come with. Also, which one does a Trailblazer SS come with. I have a 75 GMC 1/2 ton with an NP203 tranfer case. I want to replace it with an AWD one that will handle lots of power because I'm going to be putting in a high power big block engine. The truck will only be driven on the street.

The Silverado SS, Escalade uses a New Venture 149. The TBSS uses a New Venture 120.

If you are going AWD I assume you are going for a "street" set up so are you staying with a SFA? leaf spring solid axle trucks dont handle the best

Not to wake up a dead thread, but could someone direct me to some more details regarding the differences between these two cases? Searched, but na-da.

I dunno, but after working on a AWD TBSS I was jealous, that transfer case looks much bigger/stronger.
