Tru Killer
Hey, Right now I have the stock Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires, which are 275/55/20, but I plan on lowering my truck more and want something wider and more low profile. I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for 295/45/20 tires? I plan to run them on the stock SS rims, which I believe are 20 x 8.5. I am willing to go with 285/45/20 if necessary, but I really want to stick with that size sidewall because I like how it looks. Thanks. someotherguy
Too wide of a tire for that wheel width, recommended for 9.5" wheel. Looks meaner but less traction potential than a properly-sized tire, and will also probably handle poorly (sidewall rollover in hard cornering) and wear poorly. The 285 is slightly better at recommended for a 9" wheel... Richard
TxSilverado361
You may also want to take into consideration tire width when you lower your truck, depending on how low you go. I have a NNBS with a 4/7 and the same size and model tires you have were rubbing. I went with 255/50 and haven't had any problems yet.
