pollo
What are the preferred choices for air bags as I want to be able to drop it down occasionally. Im painting my 03 SS blue/black 2 tone w/ a 1/4 inch silver separation stripe ( Im an auto Painter) in a few months and the bags will enhance the look. Thanks in advance. Aldofashow
Your gonna have trouble air bagging the front being AWD it’s not spring suspension and there is a shaft where your airbag would typically be no problem in the back though air bag away
pollo
Thanks, a guy at my local Off Road Warehouse mentioned about the SS dropped on bags. So not the AWD ok. I wouldn't want to have bags only in the back. I was wanting the front and rear to work together.
Aldofashow
Unless something has changed and someone has figured something out I would expect it wouldn’t be cheap causing almost everything to be changed out They came with torsion bars the newer style GM trucks don’t use them but I couldn’t say if any of that stuff swaps over I’m sure if you redesign your whole front end it could be possible I’m just not aware of a bolt in kit for these trucks
pollo
Good to know. Thanks. I do like the stock ride height but will also consider the 2" drop I have read about on here. Maybe even go with a 22" wheel.
someotherguy
Considering there's a coilover conversion for the front of these trucks, I don't see why you couldn't bag one up there. Richard

Richard you might be on to something I haven’t heard anybody has done it yet but somebody has to be the tester to find out if it’ll work or not I’d like to see it.
