SSRT
Good Afternoon, My Wife and I just purchased a 2004 Victory Red 2004 Silverado SS this past weekend. Truck has 132,000 miles on it, we are planning on slowly bringing her back to life. The truck is originally from Missouri and had 3 owners there. I bought it down here in southwest Florida, and is our 3rd daily driver. It needs the typical suspension, and brakes and tune up. This truck joins my 2009 quad cab silverado, 2000 Dakota R/T regular cab that is a bolt on truck. Plus my other 2000 Dakota R/T club cab that's 408 powered with a paxton novi 2000. Yes my wife and I are a rare breed. We love GM and Mopar products, can't wait to gain some knowledge on these trucks and bring this 04 back to better than stock.. Pretty impressive that Dodge picking up a front tire. Thank you, I wish I could find the original owner of the ss. They had it from new up to 2 years ago. Saw on carfax they did mateinence on it up to 110k miles. We'll get this truck perfect again. It's pretty peppy for stock. As for the club cab dodge. Yeah too much money spent making her fast. Downeast Johnny
I believe you when you say that there is plenty of money in the wheely. It is at least possible that the original owner of your SS is or has been a member. You might list any mods to the truck. Might make it easier for someone to recognize. If she had reg maintenance to 110K it should be in decent shape. Is that an SS rear bumper? (Looks short top to bottom) Is that a bed liner in the bed? The 2nd and 3rd owners we're also in missouri, and Jan 16 according to carfax the truck got popped in the rear. Just cosmetic damage, and title is clean, then the truck popped up 10 months later in Hollywood FL. I believe at a car auction, then the car lot purchased it, and brought it over here to Fort Myers FL. So I need to find a SS bumper, or SS plastic cover, and pads. Or score a deal on I believe a BSER roll pan? Still learning on that stuff, as for the bed yes it's a bed liner. I do need to source some amps, and subs for it. One of the owners put a basic Kenwood headunit in it. Then ran dedicated speaker wires to be driven by a dedicated amp. Then had a amp for the sub or subs who knows, just going off the wiring left in the truck. Like I said she needs some love, but these trucks are a special breed. Welcome! Nice trucks you have there... you're not the only one that loves GM and Mopars on this site they'll kick in lol Good to know I'm not the only deranged one then here. LOL I do have to say my Mopar friends are pretty damn one way on makes of vehicles. To the point I've debated going stroker LS power in my drag truck Dakota, just to irk them. A couple guys here bought them and were happy with the fit and finish. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/87371-custom-fiberglass-silverado-ss-roll-pans/ Very few of these trucks don't need some love at this point, but I agree with you, they are special. I've owned all the major US makes, through the years. Right now I prefer a Chevy/GM, but none of the makes are terrible any more. BlackBetty
I'm off McGregor south of Colonial. I drive around quite a lot so I'm sure we'll end up running into each other.
