Tbss intake silver blade or gold blade

What's going on fellas I'm in the process of buying a tbss intake and doing the swap the only dilemma I'm having is whether to buy a silver blade or gold blade throttle body. I need an x link and on the website they ask which one I am buying to send me the appropriate one. Now I know alot of guys go with the 87mm tbss tb. Now question is was it a silver or a gold? I really want a ls7 90 mm but I don't want to get into anything that might leave me in some deep problems cause I got the wrong color blade. I know the difference is which way the blade opens but as states I'm curious as to which one you guys are running , sorry if I'm in the wrong spot, thanks I'm advanced

When these intake swaps first started, people were only looking for silver blades because gold blades were being difficult and giving some people 'reduced engine power' issues. From my understanding, the issue has been fixed with the correct version of X-link they now offer. Color doesn't matter, 90 mm is 90 mm. And the ls7 is the exact same throttle body as LS2 (silver blade) and LS3 (gold blade). If you're interested in saving money, buy the cheapest one of the bunch (LS3 gold blade) and use the appropriate x-link.

I ran the LS3 gold blade on my truck and never had any issues. It ultimately came down to which one I found cheaper when I was looking. People wanting in the $300 range for a stock silver blade LS2 throttle body are just nuts. I picked up the LS3 TB I had for $100 or so.

Same here when I ran my pro flow intake although I'm back to stock intake and TB now.
