I'm interested in this mod, but I'm gonna tow with it some before I make up my mind. My TES-295 fluid will take a lot more heat than standard Dex-III.

What kind of temps are you seeing?

I'm wondering if a 160 degree t-stat will help, since the trans fluid makes a loop through the radiator. May do that before I get it tuned.

A T stat wont do anything with trans temps especially when you have a convertor. The temps rise to fast, especially on hot days sitting.

I dont run this cooler, but i run this one and it has as 900 CFM fan that I wired to the ignition so its always on when you turn the key until you shut the truck off. I also have it hooked up to a switch so I can have it run when i want. I run a TCI 3800 convertor in my built trans and this has held the temps at 180 all day. If you hot lap the poor thing then temps will rise but otherwise its a beast.
