FASTDIESEL Posted March 15, 2018 Report Share Posted March 15, 2018 I'm interested in this mod, but I'm gonna tow with it some before I make up my mind. My TES-295 fluid will take a lot more heat than standard Dex-III. What kind of temps are you seeing? I'm wondering if a 160 degree t-stat will help, since the trans fluid makes a loop through the radiator. May do that before I get it tuned. Blown 346 Posted March 15, 2018 Report Share Posted March 15, 2018 A T stat wont do anything with trans temps especially when you have a convertor. The temps rise to fast, especially on hot days sitting. I dont run this cooler, but i run this one and it has as 900 CFM fan that I wired to the ignition so its always on when you turn the key until you shut the truck off. I also have it hooked up to a switch so I can have it run when i want. I run a TCI 3800 convertor in my built trans and this has held the temps at 180 all day.
