I've kept driving to a minimum but had an appt to get my hair cut last night. On the way truck was being less & less responsive. Got to the point it would barely take off from a light. I passed a shop around 5:45 with a few guys out front, did a u-turn and asked if they could cut out the pipe. I would have to wait for a couple cars to get done. I asked if I could do it and they let me use a sawzall, light and glasses. All dressed up and under the truck on cardboard and one of the mats. 20 minutes later I had cut out a pie section of pipe ahead of the bad cat & bent it out of the way. Guys wouldn't take any cash!
