SuperSickSS
Whats up guys. I put new NGK spark plugs and MSD street fire wires. Question i had was if i had to leave the heat shields on? I left them on now and everything seems good but not sure if i was supposed to or not. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance. matslp488
I just put some msds on mine about a month ago I just put them on without the heatshields and they seem fine as long as there's no contact with headers/ manifolds
edgarss44
I've had my msd wires on without the stock heat shields for about 8 months now with no issues! Just make sure there not touching the manifold / headers and you'll be fine!
Muggs
It's up to you really, when I had MSD wires I didn't use the heat shields
SuperSickSS
Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll admit they look better without the shields so if its not a problem I'll probably end up taking them off.
psualumni
I threw away the head shields when I put headers on. No issues, clearer looking. Sent from my STV100-1 using Tapatalk
GeorgeHansen
I have the 409 taylor wires. Called ngk about spark plugs. Using(br7ef) They said lose the shields. They cause a high temp issue. They also said there is a tech bulletin from GM talking about the over heating issues
