So I bought a 2003 rcsb Silverado and it has manual Windows and locks and I really need to convert them to power windows and locks. So my question is....what is the easiest way to do this? I was thinking of just buying 2 doors with the buttons from a salvage yard. Is it just going to be plug and play or am I going to have to rewrite the whole truck? Thanks in advance! eberhama Posted September 19, 2016 Report Share Posted September 19, 2016 Its not plug and play. The door guts and panels will swap. Where the door harnesses' plug into the dash harness on either side won't be pinned to supply power to the doors. You'd probably end up having to swap dash harnesses to make it work.
