Any Interest in having the Hotchkis sway bar kits produced again?

These Hotchkis kits were discontinued a few years back for the SS/VHO trucks.

I have not seen a full kit for sale in a very long time. Occasionally I find maybe a rear bar for sale.

I really wanted to add one of these kits to my truck.

Out of curiosity I called and asked what it would take to get a production run going again. I would need to purchase 25 kits to have them made again.

I could see possibly 10 kit's but 25 I think would be though to move.

$618 was the last list price they had when they discontinued them. They would have to re submit it to verify current pricing but shouldn't be off much from there. They won't discuss any other pricing obviously unless I move forward from there.

So, with that being said. I would like to see how much interest there might be in this and if it's even worth considering.

Every kit from each company is a little different. It's typically best to use a matched set from 1 company.

Personally, I liked the Hotchkis because they had the largest Front Sway Bar. I also like the way the rear bar laid out. To me, Some kits seem like more of an afterthought

I have no experience with a matched kit from any company So that's why I am asking. I have 3 trucks right now that need Sway bar kits.

If there is a kit that works better I am opened to suggestions. For me, the price of a kit isn't the Issue. I want it to handle and last. I am sure most companies products will.

I'm not trying to be a cheap bastard but that seems fairly expensive for a rear sway bar. I was under the impression that adding a rear sway bar wouldn't make that much of a difference. However, an upgraded front sway bar should be a drastic improvement.

I think it replaces the front and adds the rear, but I could be wrong. I'm sorta surprised that Hotchkis wants $15 grand minimum to make these. I would possibly be interested in a set if this is for the front and rear, if it really makes that big of a difference. I'm actually just about to yank my torsion bars to do the coilover conversion and I think and nice matched sway bar set would compliment it well.

The price I listed above was a complete Kit with front and rear bars.

The factory front I believe is considered 32MM. The hotchkis front was considered 37mm or 1-7/16

If I'm not mistaken this kit supplies front and rear and the benefits of upgrading the OEM units are pretty well documented.

Here are just a few recent posts and I don't mean to offer competition to the OP.

Correct. Larger front and adds a rear bar.

The pricing I was given was the list sale price. I am sure it would be cheaper but I would then have to sit on the kits.

Like I stated earlier. I could possibly see doing 10 kits as 3 would already be used. However I am not sure how much interest there would be in the product. I would have to pay up front and sit on it until they sell.

I don't feel the other products on the market are any better. I believe the Hotchkis kit had the largest Front bar available.

Anyone know if the rear bar is compatible with the Corsa exhaust? I remember that one that Tony was selling turned out to not be compatible.

I believe it was as it mounts forward. It also clears the 14 bolt rear end unlike one of the other brands. I just don't remember which one it was.

Found this thread regarding the rear sway bar showing how it's mounted.

Thanks for the link. That's a great bunch of pictures in that thread. Sure are a bunch of avatars I haven't seen around for a while, too.
