Silverado_George
Hello there fellow SS members, just wanted to get a quick opinion from everybody no reason just out of curiosity, if someone were to be selling you a real 2006 SSS Intimidator in immacualte condition and you checked the miles and the bluebook value to see what it was worth and in bluebook it came out to $19,500. The guy suppose wanted 21k but the truck came with the COA and original owners manual and everything and again it's in immaculate condition, what's your guys take on this? Downeast Johnny
Have you tried to talk him down any? I figure that the truck is worth whatever the market will bear so it kind of depends on how bad you want it and how many lookers the seller has interested in it. If I wanted it a lot and was convinced that it was in real good shape, I would figure that $1,500 isn't enough to kill the deal, but I would still try to get him to split it with me. Offer him $18.5 or 19 and see how he react's.
Stitches040
I sold my 2004 SSS with only 30k last year for $21k ... it too was immaculate with some minor mods ... So, his price is not completely unreasonable
EXGM
I paid about that a year ago for my just reagular 2006 SSS. Sometimes if you want to buy a nice truck you need to spend a little more and " pay all the money" for a nice example. Mine had 48k on it when I bought it. I have been looking since and haven't seen a red 06 like mine with low miles. So did j pay more than I wanted.... Yes but I got what I wanted. someotherguy
Agreed with Johnny, when you're talking 19.5-21K, 1500 really shouldn't be enough on either side to blow the deal. If he's not willing to meet you in the middle, then I guess you'll just have to ask yourself if you want it that bad. If I were in your position I'd try lower first, and haggle up as needed. It's not like you're trying to offer him 15K. Richard

Richard Thanks Richard, the reason why I think he wouldn't take less than 20k is because that's the price he paid 3 years ago and he's only driven it 3,000 miles since he got it plus the COA's only were given to the original owners of the trucks i believe that one is #539 of 933 and it has a sunroof! Haha not that that matters but it's cool , I could perhaps ask him to break even on it because I don't think he'd be willing to take a loss... someotherguy
No harm in trying. A small amount less than asking price isn't an insult. If you tried to offer him substantially less, I could see him coming unglued and blowing off the whole deal - depending on how serious he is about selling. Good luck and I'm sure you'll keep us posted. Sounds like a really sharp truck! Richard

avtonomb
90k miles? For $21k?? Ouch
EXGM
Yeah you're right i'll probably regret it later if I don't get it,seems like too many miles though 90k... Yeah you should have included that in the first post. It seems a little high considering mileage. For the kind of money he is asking it should have nearly new tires. All maintenance history and should be all up to snuff of maintenance and should be detailed like it's fresh off the showroom for that kind of coin. Just my 2 cents. At the end of the day i used to have a saying.... People would ask me if they got a good "deal" on a car purchase. Only one person it matters to if you got what you want and you think you paid a fair price then yes you got a good deal. kaze_v8
The way I look at it is, if you really want something, youll pay whatever they want. When I found my SS after 3 months of looking, I knew it was the perfect one, and I had made up my mind that, that was the one I wanted. Did I get a good deal? Not really, but I was able to hassle the guy down a couple grand, which was a huge plus for me, but in the back of my mind that didn't matter because I knew I was gonna get it regardless. Moral of the story is, if you genuinely want it then get it, but considering you have to ask, then you probably don't want it that bad, and its something you wanna look back at someday and not regret. Good luck

Good luck yeah Erick, best thing to do here is offer him 20k that's what he paid for it so he doesn't take a loss on it and just breaks even on it
