low boost??

I have a side mount whipple on my 2003, punched it today and noticed I only got 6 lbs of boost. What could be the possible problems? I have a 3 1/2 inch pulley if I'm not mistaken, shouldn't I be pushing more then that?? If anyone can chime in I would appreciate it.

From what I've read that's about right. You would have to pulley way down to make more boost.

Okay cool so all I would have to do is buy a smaller pulley or have one made? I thought something was wrong with the supercharger itself. That's a relief.

Yep. I don't think whipple sells them anymore for that style of supercharger. Do you have the single belt or 2 belt system?

Nice to see you finally got it all hooked up.

Post pics of your setup!

It's still the same set up bro, I haven't modified it yet still getting parts. But now I see that my tensioner is kinda loose and it's leaking oil somewhere...so that's another thing I have to troubleshoot. Edited by Oldhabbit (see edit history)

I use to have a 2 belt whipple. If my memory serves me right I had south florida pulley make me a pulley for it. I think it was around $140. You send them your pulley and they can make any size pulley you want based off of it.
