red03
Will be installing my LPP headers on the 03 this week or next week, will definitely have them done before the Dallas/FTW Blackbear meet, anyways.......Im going to ditch the Corsa exhaust, (too quiet for my taste) and go to a true dual set up with an x-pipe. My question is, if you guys were going to be doing this, would you go ahead and do 3" all the way out or 2 1/2". Im going to order Black Widow mufflers and cant decide if I should do 3" or 2 1/2". My knowledge of flow and velocity tell me that 2 1/2" should be fine, but in the future the truck is going to be forced induction, probably Procharger. I know with forced induction one needs to be expelling exhaust gasses at a good rate. On a side note I hope I dont have any major "clearance" issues with the headers, in other words I dont want to have to beat the crap out of them with a b.f.h. JC03SS
2.5 is plenty. When you make around 600hp you can up it.
jddmj
2.5" should be fine for what you are doing. You should sell your corsa on here, and make up the difference from your build. Just my 2 cents.
SilveradoJakee
I love my black widow exhaust. It's calm when driving nice and super aggressive when hard on it. My buddy has an corsa exhaust and he's super jealous he spent the money on that but mine came out so nice. 2 1/2 will be more than enough and my experience is the last guy I did a 3 in dual was super loud and annoying loud though. He had to pay to change it to 2 1/
zachm89
Wait till you put the long tubes on and get rid of the cats...you wont think the Corsa is too quiet after that.
red03
Had it done a few weeks ago, LPP longtube headers, Magnaflow x pipe with two Black Widow venom mufflers, out to two 3" rolled lip tips. Sounds wicked, louder than I thought it would be, has a slight drone from about 55 mph to 60 mph, but past that its as quiet as the Corsa was at cruising speed, which is exactly what I wanted. Now just to sell the old Corsa.......btw the LPP headers fit like crap, I had to beat the hell out of them with a b.f.h. on the driver side to get them to clear the drive shaft. SilveradoJakee
Glad to hear you liked it sir! I have it on mine and loved it! How was the LPP header install? Did it fight right? They holding up good? I have OBX Longtubes but not 100% satisfied..
red03
I like the LPP headers, they have held up well. Had them for a little over 2 years now, but that was on my 07 classic 2 wheel drive. They fit like crap on the AWD SS though. Passenger side went on just fine, driver side had to be clearanced in a couple of spots to fit. Ill probably do kooks or arh in the future.
