EXGM
Ok im looking for some help. In the last few weeks I think due to road construction season I have gotten two REALLY BAD rock chips on my hood. The 06 hood is a little taller in front and both of mine have been on the tall part of hood. Prior to this I had none ..... Hard to believe. Anyways I want to prevent more. I'm not a huge fan of the clear bras but if I could find one that doesn't cover the first 1/4 of hood I might consider. I was also thinking of a bug deflector.... Getting a clear one and painting to match truck but I hate bug deflectors and worry it will rub on hood and make another problem. I'm curious what others are doing or if you have any pictures thanks! 1BAD2K
A bug deflector will rub the front corners of the grille and also the top of the grille. It did on my 06 ss and my 06 clone. Both had the deflector on when I bought the trucks. I would find a clear brand shop or tint shop that does them and have them cut it wherever you want. They do custom ones now that are more like a wrap instead of just pre cut pieces from a factory. Also, look for a brand called xpel. It's the best one out that I've come across. CaboRob
I had my front bumper "cleared" the best price I could find was $300... But I can take some road debris... Can't really tell it's there
karduke
I also suggest installing a clera bra. Aside from Xpel, Suntek is also better than the 3m but quite pricey.
