jovanny
My tahoe has had flickering issues ever since I bought it. It has a dual battery setup, I replaced both batteries (main a optima second a interstate) It has a nice sound system. An RE Audio 3000 watt amp with 1/0 wire, 2 pionner 12's and a kenwood double din. Any ideas on what do you think it could be?
lucky03
Do you have a farad cap installed? If not that will do you when the bass hit's.

lucky03
If the radio is off. I would start with checking ground wires.
1BAD2K
Ground wires and possibly the volt reg in the alternator is acting up. Don't think it would cause that, but I have always heard on dual batteries, that you need the exact same battery.

It does it with one battery too, Is there any diagram with all the ground wire locations ? I've looked and haven't seen one
1BAD2K
Hmm I haven't seen one but I'm sure you could find it online. Is there a way to test the voltage regulator?
03SSBoy
Did you get a bigger amp? or did you upgrade your battery and alternator cables?
EXGM
You should NEVER mix agm and glass mat batteries! They charge at different rates and you will fry your lead cell one in no time! If they are wired together that could be your problem as it is seeing the agm one as not fully charged while your wet cell is and is trying to charge the agm. Could be causing your problem.... EXGM
I'll disconnect it as soon as it stops raining . But even with one battery the still flickerDamage may be done to agm bat already or you have a alternator problem due to trying to over charge. You shouldn't even mix diff brand wet cell batteries as there are two different chemical types. One likes to be fed and one says that's all I can take. I can't remember the chemical type so you should always use same brand even on flooded style. Reason why AGM require 13+ volts to charge wet cell are around 12 so you can see why damage occurs.......
