ls9 map sensor

I beleive this is a 3bar map sensor. Anyone using it in their boosted application. and will my tuner have any issues. Long story is I am using a holley hi ram intake and need a map that will fit the hole in the back of the intake. Only going to run boost under 10psi so wondering if I even need a 3 bar but want it to fit snug on the intake. Thanks

I'd be interested if it's the stock style push in and you're confident it will fit snuggly in the hole on the Holley intake. This all came about because the lq9 sensor won't work for boost and is to loose anyway ha.

Does the holley intake allow you to bolt on a bracket or anything to keep the map sensor in? My proflow xt lets you bolt a bracket right over the top of the sensor. Mine would fit loose to if I didn't have that bracket.

It has a hole with no threads for a sensor and And one bolt hole that would fit the ls9 sensor it appears. Didnt come with a bracket. Also has a little bigger threaded hole for vac/pressure.

That's what mine looks like. If you think the ls9 will work then get it their cheap enough. I do think you would be better off with a map sensor from a supercharged colbolt. It is a 2 bar map sensor.

Did you need a pigtail connector to make it work or does it connect right up? And after more research our pcm's do not support 3bar. 2.5 seems to be the max

Bingo 2.5bar max anyway. Personally I'll be going with the LS9 sensor and pigtail for my Holley.

Best boosted sensor for the Holley intake is the LS9/LSA map sensor. The only way it will be an issue is if you have the wrong tuner. The wiring info is available online or as an adapter from Casper electronics.

BTW, who in the hell told you the SSS pcm doesn't support a 3 bar map?

Went with the cobalt sensor and made a little bracket to go over it to help hold it in. Truck is up and running now! As far as the 3 bar that is what I read when doing some research... Many must be misinformed. But I dont plan on going over 10-12 psi so I should be just fine with the 2bar. Thanks! Zippy--- I had Ray at superstreet do my tuning.
