Black6spdz
Anyone have any pictures of their truck with some 295/45/17 drag radials? I am thinking about getting a set of 4 and wondered if they would look too small with a 2/4 drop? Also a little concerned about my rpm going thru the traps in 3rd. GI.SS
I believe m+h makes a 275 50. This is with like a 3-5ish drop they are small more like a 27" tire. Idk if anyone makes a 30" tire in a 17"
poopnewton
There's a guy on pt.net with some M&H 390/40R17 on his dragstars. They are the tallest I think you'll find. I'd personally like a little wider wheel than 9.5 for those tires but for the price of racestars compared to a custom wheel that combo is pretty tempting and looks damn good. Hear's a couple links to some threads with pics. http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/multimedia-truck-related-155/new-racestars-532356/ http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/projects-gallery-189/03-tan-sierra-513440/page13/
GI.SS
Yea I'm right there with you on the 390's. They look awesome but the wheel is no where near wide enough. I'm def going to try the 275 50 next
Black6spdz
Thanks, I think don't mind the look of the 390 when it is just on the rear but could never do it being awd. I like the look of the racestars or have seen some raceline renegade 6 that look decent as well, just want to get that 9 sec pass.

Black6spdz
The truck has gone 1.61 60ft but with the boost up much best I could manage was a 1.85 on the 10.4 pass and I still have a few more lbs of boost probably then time to sell haha. What is your set up?
GI.SS
Ljms stage 2 with a Vic jr, 80e swap with Fti 3600, arp hardware, ls9 gaskets, s475 with the larger ar's, twin 38 jgs gates, fuel blah blah meth, 2 step, thinking about putting a brake in her and getting her lighter. Black6spdz
Sweet, stock bottom end? I ran stock bottom end with a s472 and went like 10.8 with the gate about pinned shut. Its tough to get weight out without giving up any luxuries. I would lve to talk to you more about your setup sometime. good luck on your journey
GI.SS
Absolutely shoot me a pm I'm 2wd and have taken some weight out already, but I have a couple ideas to retain all the creature comforts and get her skinnier

Also what was your 60' and mph. I got a s476 on a stock bottom making 708 rwhp and have no idea what kind of e.t. that would be good for if i was able to get some traction. Right now I'm running 305/50R20 Nitto 420's which do OK on the street if I'm at about a 50 roll. lol I'd like to get in the 10's if I ever get a better wheel/tire combo and take it to the track. Black6spdz
Not off hand it never dynos well with the front shaft out my truck is awd, It had a s472 on it and was right around 20lbs of boost, the only other thing it had is a tick turbo cam and springs. I have 285/50/20 420s and have cut a best of 1.60 60ft but if the boost is turned up it is 1.8x I would have to look at some old slips but want to say it was around 128mph. GI.SS
thats the exact reason i have a buddy developing a boost controller that will have a ton of inputs and ways to control it. needs a transbrake too
Black6spdz
I think I have made up my mine on a street/track set up. Wheels are 18x9.5 tires are 305/45/18. Should make it so I don't have to spin it 7k thru the traps with the tallish tire.
