jsanders347
Does anyone know of a shop around Louisville Kentucky that will install headers? I'm most likely gonna go with pacesetters. I will also be looking for a tune. If I get the tune before the headers go on and I have the O2 sensor turned off will anything be affected? jsanders347
Found a shop but he said he won't touch pacesetters, hedmans and another brand due to poor build quality. What would be the next cheapest option? I'm planning on ditching the cats

A_FUrious
A muffler shop should be able to mock up mid pipes on a mandril??
jsanders347
A muffler shop should be able to mock up mid pipes on a mandril??I'm not understanding what you're saying? He said from the headers back it would be stainless pipes bent on a mandrel.
A_FUrious
I'm surprised your local shop scoffs at Pacesetters. That's all.. A lot of people love pacesetter on this site. Also check stainless headers http://www.stainlessheaders.com/index.aspx Edited March 2, 2015 by A_FuriouSS (see edit history)

Also check stainless headers http://www.stainlessheaders.com/index.aspx Ohhhh gotcha. Yeah he said they fit awful. He said on more than one occasion he'd find a new set out of the box and there would be missing welds and stuff. Thanks for the link

JC03SS
There is nothing wrong with pacesetters. I've had min on since Sep 06. There still on no leashes and have about 90k miles on them.
A_FUrious
Good luck! Just a note, I recently had an issue with the my back driver side (7) header bolt breaking. I'd take a peek. Anyways good luck n I'm sure you'll love the sound of those tubes!
Akslowroller
I am running OBX. The biggest complaint is the left bank. Your rear two plug wires will need to be zip tied away from the header. I would either wrap the headers or get the boots for your wires. Even zip tied my wires have signs of being burnt a little. Other than that the headers seem to be good. Also if you do get them you will need a couple plugs for the mid pipes. There is an extra set of holes.
canadianVRss
I'm running the obx headers myself. You can't run a plug wire with the fiberglass heat socks and have the sock and wire touching the header itself. You'll cook the wire and it'll split and arc to the header causing ALL kinds of problems (oil pressure sensor reading incorrectly, cylinder misfire, popping exhaust, black smoke from the exhaust, exc exc) I posted this awhile ago, you need these http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd510/Pwilly7/IMG_1339_zps9dec9232.jpg For the back two plug wires on the drivers side. Sorry for the pic being upside down, but you get the idea.
