vogun16
hey guys i have an 03 ss awd and was looking into lowering it 2/4 and putting the 24' dub ballers on it. Few concerns i have are that they only come in the 24x10 and i was worried that they would rub, i know putting a 24 on our trucks will rub no matter what i just would hate to buy them and find out the truck is undriveable. wondering if anyone is running a 24x10 with a 2/4 drop and if so i would love to see some pics thanks! heres a couple pics of what the wheels look like
Aldofashow
Not sure but they sure look nice on those trucks
Muggs
I'm sure someone with 24's will chime in, but like Alan said they look good on there.
jddmj
They looked like a smoothed out I-Roc rim. Really clean. Good luck!
vogun16
haha you're right they do look like an I rock rim.. I had my heart set on the kmc slides until I saw these. I know some guys put the 24" slides on with that drop and had a small amount of rubbing, but those are 24x9.5 not sure if the extra half an inch is going to make a drastic difference or not
jddmj
They actually make that rim in smaller sizes. 22" would look good I think personally. To each their own though.
vogun16
Yeah that lower pic has them in 22s and they do look good.. What size tire would you run with a 2/4 drop and a 22?
kaze_v8
Id go with the 22's, look much nicer and smoother.
Aldofashow
You would need a nice set of zo6 calipers in red to really make those bad boys pop
bigcountrypoppen
My setup is 24" KMC slides with a 305/35r24 Nitto 420S on stock ride height. The ride is definitely a bit stiff and you feel a lot more of the road but overall It looks good, I may be going down to a 20" Texas edition wheel (gloss black) with a 285/55r20 to put more sidewall between the rim and road as this is my daily driver. Akslowroller
My truck lowered 3/5 with 24" dub push's. They were 9.5" wide with 30mm offset and I ran 295/35/24's on them. No rubbing issues. If I hit a bump while backing out of somewhere fully cranked you could hear it rub a little but other than that no issues. cmoney23
Depends on what series tire you go with. I'm sure if u run a 30 series tire it'll look killer and ride rough. But run a 40 series and it'll ride better but rub. Depends in what you want more. Looks or drivability??
SDjeff619
I'm on 24x10 3" drop in the front and there is just a little rubbing on the center rear portion of the plastic fender liner when turning. Stock hight had no issues, oh and 295/35's Edited March 29, 2015 by SDjeff619 (see edit history)
