LSupNorth6.0
So I have a Detroit locker for my truck but I have no clue how to install one correctly. I've looked around and not found much. As far as I know I won't have to touch my pinion spacing because I'm keeping my 3:73 ratio. So I just need some help on how to shim it on the axle axis. Any info is much appreciated.
Aldofashow
Just make sure those spacers on the left and right side of the oem diff go back where they were don't let anything get mixed up your just swapping the ring that just mounts to the new locker and putting new bearings on and reinstalling with the same spacing your oem diff had your not changing gear ratios. When I changed out my stock diff for an eaton locker that's all I did and all worked out fine
D1SCSS
The bolts that hold the ring gear should be left handed threads..
LSupNorth6.0
Thanks guys. That doesn't seem too bad at all. I've been wanting to put it in for a while, but thought it was way more complicated. I'm so sick of the one wheel peel its not even funny. Lol ill have to post up a video once it's done ;)
BlueAWDSS
Make sure you follow torque specs to a T. And also make sure you have a reputable torque wrench.
