RottenSS
Not sure if they're called bumper scoops but I'm wanting to put lights in the SS bumper in those little pockets. Has anyone done this? Happy you did it? Why type lights? How did you mount them?
bassmaster
In the front brake ducts.. Ie, The cutout on each end? If so, yes you can mount factory fog lights behind there by making a small bracket Here's a link with a lot of the info http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.php?/topic/86458-How-to-install-your-Fog-Light-wiring-to-Factory-Switch Sent from my Galaxy S-Fawhore Edited October 27, 2014 by bassmaster (see edit history)

Cramer
I started mounting a set of factory fogs and couldn't do it. I didn't like the oversize of it compared to the ducts.
jddmj
Been done a lot. You can do it with a standard toggle switch, or hook everything up like OEM.

Blown 346
Put the factory fogs in with the factory switch, and used 6000K HIDs. Took about a hour to install with making the brackets for them.
coal miner
I put the factory fogs on mine to but I didn't like the way they looked. I got two new fog lights and a really nice wiring harness made if anyone wants them.
EXGM
I want to do this and looked under truck. I don't see the wire harness, can anyone tell me where it is tucked up at? Also on a 06 does anyone that has done fog mod know is it plug and play or does the BCM need a reflash? I see conflicting things....
rickyrick562
I didn't have the wiring harness, but I bought the oem wiring harness and it was a direct plug and play. No reflashing the bcm either. It took me a total of about 30 minutes to install

EXGM
Ok, I looked but can anyone provide insight into where the factory harness might be or did the later trucks like my 06 not have the harness from the factory?
