Bob_the_builder
I was looking at picking up some diff fluid and I noticed that on the bottle of Royal Purple 75W90 it says "with friction modifier additive". Link:http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/royal-purple-75w-90-synthetic-gear-oil-0280241p.html#.VMGkhDhMWbA I was wondering if this is ok to use or if there is another Royal Purple oil to use. Also looking for a store in my area that sells Mobil #1 75w90.
Bob_the_builder
On a similar note, can you buy Mobil 1 75w90 with or with out LS? I have seen different bottles advertised. Just wondering if they changed the bottle design or if it two different types of oil. Bob
JC03SS
Amsoil in everything because bottom line it's the Best. Mobil 1 would be next. I'd never put RP in anything Ever. It's straight junk.
levilz
I'm with Jason. AMSOIL in everything. I sent you a PM with some information about the Severe Gear 75W90 that we use in both, the front and rear diffs.
Bob_the_builder
JC03SS,, Is this the AMSOIL you would run: 75w90 Synthetic Gear Oil. If I went with your second choce of Mobil 1 should I be concerned if the bottle says Limited Slip on it like the image below? Thanks, Bob
levilz
The Severe Gear 75W90 is what you want. It'll work in both, the front, and the rear differentials and doesn't need an additive. Bob_the_builder
Great. I will see if I can get the Amsoil at my local parts store. Bob

Blown 346
I use the good old GM LS fluid and never had a issue. You do have to remember that just because the name o the bottle is different it could be the same fluid.....
