BOWTIEKID
Been talking to Heads Up Composites about making a cowl hood for our trucks. They're on board to produce a fiberglass 4" bolt on or pin on cowl hood for either 03-05 and 06-07. Hoods will be around $450 for a bolt on, $350 for a pin on; we will need at least 5 people to be committed to start the process. We have a few on board on Performance trucks, but it wouldn't hurt to have a few more. I don't have any pictures as of yet, hope to have a mold done by the end of the week. I will update this thread when the pictures come through. Again, please post questions and if you're interested here. Thank you.

BOWTIEKID
I'll post them as soon as I can get a few. We had looked at a few places to get this done a couple months back, but it never got anywhere. Seems to be really rolling now.
MID12sSSS
I have a goodmark 2" and have always wanted a 4". I'm in! It's the last thing I should be spending money on right now, but if it's a group buy, I wouldn't miss it. So you said a fiberglass, bolt on or pin on? Is it just the cowl and you need to mod it to your hood? Or is it a complete hood ready to go? Also, any chance there will be a pic or design before we start committing? Cuz there are several ways you can mold a cowl. Some look awesome, some, not so much.
coal miner
How good will the fiberglass work be? Will it be gel coated? I don't wanna spend hours sanding. If it would be ready for paint I might be in for one. Depending on the design. Edited July 29, 2014 by coal miner (see edit history)

BOWTIEKID
Yes, I will get pictures before hand. I have about 15 guys that are requesting pictures before they commit so I'll put you on the list with them. This will be a complete fiberglass hood, bolt on or pin on your choice. Yes they will be Gel Coated. It is very high quality fiberglass work, Heads Up Composites do most if not all the Outlaw and X275 front ends in hand laid fiberglass. They have a Facebook page, I've seen quite a few pieces in person and they're outstanding.
Blown 346
Even being gel coated you can still run into issues. I have with every fiberglass and even steel hoods during prep.
BOWTIEKID
It is what it is, I can't expect them to be perfect. I can only go on other things from them I've seen. I'll post pictures when I have them, then you can see for yourselves and make a decision from there.

BLOWN SS/T
I'd like to see this as well, any idea on weight savings compared to a stock hood? How soon can this happen if you have the needed amount committed to buying?
