03_SS_22
At first my AC would only come on at certain times most of the time only at high speeds but now it won't come on. I know it needs a fan clutch but could it be the blower motor or even the module that controls it? Downeast Johnny
Does the fan blow on heat settings? Is your A/C compressor pulley clutch locking in? Are your dash controls for the heater setting's operating correctly? Those are the easy things to check and eliminate as trouble that I can think of. Good luck. Fireman31
I'm guessing you only get A/C on the highway? You only have high speed on the fan? Sounds like a bad blower resistor module......
Blown 346
Agreed on the blower motor resistor
03_SS_22
Yes I only get it on the highway. That's what I was thinking but what would be the symptoms of the blower motor Dan? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Blown 346
The blower motor or the resistor?
03_SS_22
I'm thinking it's the resistor just like y'all said but if I replace that and still doesn't fix it then it will be the blower motor? Or how would I tell? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Blown 346
Normally when a blower itself starts to act up, you will either have it short out completely and stop working or hear bearing noise from it. When the blower motor resistor goes south alot of times the fan speed settings will only work on certain speeds, then eventually only work on one speed and then totally go out. Be careful with the resistors as the circuit board gets hot, make sure it isnt touching anything when you put the new one in, or you can have a fire EDIT... Make sure you check the blower motor cage if you pull the blower motor out. If the cage is brittle and or is missing fins replace it. The fins are made of plastic and after time they can become brittle and can break the fins and throw them everywhere. 03_SS_22
It seems like the AC works when it's cold. Then also the hearer works better but not at 100 percent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Blown 346
If all the settings and speeds work, you might just need a recharge, and you might have to backflush the heater core.
