LED Cluster Swap

Recommended Posts

I think its time to tackle the LED swap and I was just wondering where you guys would recommend ordering LEDs for the cluster and the AC controls? I'm not sure if it would matter or not but I'd hate to order some cheap ones and they burn out lmao. Thanks!

I used 5mm on mine I be leave. What color are you looking for? Whit a 360 viewing angle to minimize hot spots.

I was searching for some with a 180 degree viewing angle and don't think they sell them off that site but I believe I found the 360 degree ones you were talking about. I plan on doing blue, did your cluster turn out looking good with the 360 degree bulbs?

- edit -

These are what you used right? Thanks again man.

Yes it turned out great. I done my in red. Red takes more bulbs to get rid off hot spots. I've also done blue to and is pretty easy. 360 view angle worked out good with mine. This sounds stupid but the lower the angle, the more beam like it is like a flashlight beam. The larger bulbs should put out a little more light. Check the specs on the bulbs. I used ether 5mm or 7mm in my swap i can't remember. There's plenty of room for 7mm if you want them in the cluster.

Damn that looks good. I need someone close to where I live to do that to all of my bulbs!

That info is in the how to section with pics and a walk thru.
