First, let me start off by saying I hope i don't get in trouble for doing this. Okay, so i am a part of a non-profit organization indoor drumline (or winter percussion) called Valley Independent Percussion. It is an amazing music program that has been around since 2004 allowing kids of ages 15-21 develop their percussion skills at a high level and showcase them all around the nation. I have been in the program for the last 2 years and will be attending it again this year. Every year, from October until April, we practice EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. Fri 6pm-10pm, Sat 10am-10pm, and Sun 12pm-7pm. At the end of the season last year, after placing 6th in the world at championships, the director of the program took back EVERY single piece of equipment we had and sold it and left the program. Unfortunately, we are left with nothing and are currently borrowing instruments from the middle school that I teach. We are trying to raise money to buy our own instruments, but unfortunatly it's not a small price. $150,000 is what we need to raise to get everything we need. So we are doing this fund raiser.
