Bumpstops for 2/4 drop?

After putting that 2/4 mcgaughys kit on my rcsb clone I have bottomed out EVERYWHERE. Today I got under the truck and saw the passenger side bumpstop cleared about an inch, while the driver side was pushing on the axle... I took both of the bumpstops off and trimmed them down to where I have around an inch and 1/4 of clearing from the axle to bumpstop and drilled them but it still rides rough on big dips. I was wondering what the best aftermarket bumpstop would be and was hoping one of the pros like norcal could shoot me in the right direction. I hear the pancake ones are as hard as a rock, but hitting those every once in awhile may be better than constantly riding soft bumpstops.

First thing to do is remove the bumpstop bracket, unbolt the actual rubber bumper from the bracket and bolt it straight into the frame. There is already a hole there from the factory. This will easily give you a couple more inches of clearance.

Ill have to make sure i took the bumpstop mount off as well. My kit came with little red bumpstops, but i too bottom out everyonce in awhile. Im sure some helper bags would do wonders. But before i do, ill double check to see if i took the mounts off. Thanks for the info.

to solve the problem completely so you will still have full suspension travel you should notch your frame. I have yet to do mine because iv been a lazy turd and want to burn mine in instead of bolting it in, but the notch will give you the clearance you need.

I was afraid of that.. If I'm notching though I'll just 4/6 the truck, that's the only reason I haven't yet! That and I have 285/50/20 and that sounds like rubbing issues lol.

I'm lowered 3/4 with 285/45/22's, I just recently installed my c notch i got from norcal after putting up with the rough bumps for 3 years, The notch makes all the difference in the world! i also rolled my fenders so that the tires can tuck! worth every penny to notch it IMO
