Sneakystiffler21
My transmission is starting to slip on occasion and I'm going to start to gather the parts to do a rebuild\upgrade. I have very moderate mods and don't plan to do much in the future. Bone stock except: CAI Magnaflow dual in dual out exhaust. Future mods will be long tubes and tune. I pull a 6500-7000lb camper a couple of times per year and a 2500lb bass boat a good bit spring\summer\fall and need something that can take the towing. I was looking at this kit after and brief google search, any experience with these guys, I know I see FLT talked about all the time but that's out of my price range right now. http://www.monstertrans.com/store/products/4L60E%7B47%7D4L65E-Transmission-Rebuild-Kit%2C-SS-Monster%252dIn%252dA%252dBox%3A-2003%252d06.html Suggestions on upgrade\rebuild kits or components? Thanks, Stephen Edited March 22, 2013 by Sneakystiffler21 (see edit history)

Sneakystiffler21
Does FLT make a rebuilt kit or just swap for your core and cash?
Aldofashow
You order you tranny he only charges a core 30 days after you take delivery of the new one you can swap out in 8 hours in your driveway. I just got a level 5 and a yank converter great setup I looked high and dry everyone had only good things to say and that was that. they dyno the tranny with the converter your gonna run before they ship it to check for flaws and check performance and put a stamp of approval before its shipped. you won't find that every where they will just slap it together and hope for the best you don't want that
The_aSSet
Do you have any experience with building automatic trannies? If not just go with a reputable builder, I love my FLT

2bfast
I wouldnt even think about running one of their units but I havnt heard much about their parts. Be curious to see what brand of parts they use. That would be a decent kit for a guy with a 4L60E that is wanting to upgrade the 4 pinion planetaries to 5 and have a decent trans but thats about all it would be. These guys are right about FLT. They make a nice unit and I believe you dont have to buy a top level one for what you plan to do with it. Last if you are thinking about buying a kit and doing it yourself I wouldnt think about it
